Day by Day

Day 1 - Welcome to London

On arrival in London, your family will transfer to your centrally located hotel and take some time to relax ahead of your first evening in England. An unmissable destination for travellers, the capital city is an international melting pot that brims with culture, history and iconic landmarks.

This afternoon, head out for a Mini Cooper tour, furnished with House scarves and wands. Explore the Marauder’s Map of London, solving clues and casting protective charms on key film locations. Squeeze between two buses on Lambeth Bridge, discover the inspiration for Diagon Alley and where the Death Eaters soared above. Visit filming spots from The Philosopher’s Stone to The Deathly Hallows, retracing the steps of Harry, Ron, and Hermione. Your adventure ends at Platform 9¾, where you’ll catch the Hogwarts Express home.

Later, draw the curtains on the twinkling lights of the city to enjoy a good night’s sleep ahead of an exciting day of exploring tomorrow.

This morning, wave England goodbye as you take to the skies and fly from London to Edinburgh. On arrival in Edinburgh, you will be met by your main guide. Together, after getting acquainted, head towards the stunning scenery of Glencoe. These dramatic mountains and ridges have featured as the backdrop in the Harry Potter films and once you are looking up at these summits it is easy to see why! Weather, energy levels, and time depending explore this famous valley with your guide. There are plenty of options to suit every level of energy and challenge. This evening, before dinner, immerse yourself in the mystique of the Highlands with an exclusive Glencoe storytelling experience in your private suite to fill your travels with magical tales.

Day 6 - Hop Aboard the Hogwarts Express

Ready your wands this morning as you step aboard the Jacobite Steam Train for a magical journey to the coast in the train that featured in the Harry Potter films. Puff your way through glorious mountain scenes and over the famous Glenfinnan Viaduct, hopefully with no flying cars though! On arrival at Mallaig you will be met by your guide. After a delicious lunch your guide will drive you back along the route you saw from the train, but with time to stop to explore the beautiful white sand beaches of Arisaig and admire the sweeping Glenfinnan Viaduct from a different perspective. Upon arriving back at your hotel, say goodbye to your expert guide as they leave you to enjoy the remainder of your trip having made many fond memories together.

Day 7 - Explore the magical streets of Edinburgh

This morning, leave the Highlands behind as you head back to Edinburgh. Upon arrival, bid farewell to your guide, who has been with you for the past two days, and take a moment to reflect on the wonderful memories you’ve created together.

After dropping off your luggage, you’ll be met at your hotel by a local guide who will lead you through the winding streets of Edinburgh on a private walking tour. As you explore this fantastic city, discover its highlights—from the Palace of Holyroodhouse, up the historic ‘Royal Mile,’ to the mighty Edinburgh Castle, an ancient fortress steeped in history.

To round off your day, embark on a magical private tour led by a Harry Potter expert. Hear the stories and visit the places that brought the books to life, uncovering hidden corners of the city that inspired J.K. Rowling’s world.
