Day 1 - Friday 16th August - Welcome to Scotland

On arrival at Edinburgh airport this morning you will be met by your main driver guide and head north to the Incredible Highlands.  On the way stop to enjoy the historic Stirling Castle, one of the grandest castles in Scotland with an imposing location overlooking the city of Stirling. As you continue north there are plenty of options to stop and stretch your legs and your guide will be on hand to find the best hikes and viewpoints.  Continue on to your stunning hotel, get settled in and enjoy your luxurious surroundings or explore the spectacular scenery in the local area.

Day 2 - Saturday 17th August - Fly fishing & hiking in Glencoe

Breathe in the fresh Scottish air this morning as you head out to a remote Loch with your experienced guide, who will lead you on a private fly fishing experience.   Enjoy the tranquility and peace in the stunning surroundings as you hone your fly fishing skills, hopefully catching some of the natural Scottish wild brown trout.  If time allows, you can have a quick refresh and head out with your guide to explore the historic Glencoe.  From hidden valleys to secret glens, there are many choices where you can get off the beaten track and hear stories about the tragic past of this beautiful area.

To end the day, you will meet a local storyteller.  Sit back with a wee dram and let the stories of the area wash over you as you immerse yourself in the history and culture of this magical part of Scotland.

Day 3 - Sunday 18th August - Transfer to Braemar & A Private Distillery Tour

Today you make your way to the heart of the Cairngorms National Park.  On route you will stop at the picturesque town of Pitlochry, renowned for its stunning scenery and charming victorian architecture, Pitlochry offers a blend of outdoor adventure amid breathtaking landscapes and quaint village charm.  After you have had a chance to explore, you will head to a nearby distillery to savour the rich flavours and aromas of some of Scotland’s finest whiskies, while learning the intricate craft of whisky making from knowledgable experts in a personalised and intimate setting.  You will make your way to your luxurious accommodation and can rest and relax for the evening or head out to explore the surrounding area.

Day 4 - Monday 19th August - Golf and exploring Royal Deeside

Enjoy a classic parkland and heathland golf experience this morning, as you play one of Scotland’s hidden courses. This short but challenging course will test your skills as you enjoy the mountain views that surround you. Once you have completed your morning on the green, head back to you hotel to get ready for further explorations this afternoon.

You can choose to head out on a beautiful walk amongst the ancient pinewood forests that cover this area. Delight in the tranquility and nature as you wander along the riverside with the sound of the water always close by.  If you feel more energised, perhaps head out to explore this stunning place on two wheels. A local biking guide will be on on hand to help you pick the best hidden gems to explore depending on the weather and your energy levels. Head back to your luxurious hotel to rest and relax for the evening, perhaps sip at a warming dram in the drawing room.

Day 5 - Tuesday 20th August - A Whisky Safari

Have a leisurely breakfast this morning and a little time to make the most of your luxury of your hotel.  This afternoon, head over the hills of Glenlivet to the private home and kitchen of the charismatic writer, broadcaster and ‘food anthropologist’ Ghillie Basan, who has been called a ‘World Food Expert’. Set in an idyllic and remote location you will discover a colourful and well stocked kitchen with inspiring views over the hills. Ghillie will guide you in a cooking feast of traditional Turkish and Middle Eastern mezze dishes while you share stories and learn about the spices and culture of the dishes you are creating. Later this evening head back to your hotel to rest and relax.

Day 6 - Wednesday 21st August - Golf and the Royal Military Tattoo

Today you transfer to the vibrant city of Edinburgh.  On the way there is the option to enjoy a classic links golf experience.  Carnoustie will test your skills as you take on one of Scotlands ‘greatest tests in golf’. Once you have completed your morning on the green, continue your journey south over the iconic bridge that leads into Edinburgh.

If you prefer, you can head directly to Edinburgh.  Settle in to your luxurious hotel before heading out for a unique private tour.  Head down underneath Edinburgh on a private underground tour of a warren of tiny fascinating streets daring from the 17th century.

For your final evening in Scotland, you’ll head to the top of the Royal Mile for an evening of entertainment at the Royal Military Tattoo.  Don your kilt and enjoy a pre show Dining Experience before taking your seats in the Royal Box to be transported through the journeys created by the military forces from around the world.

Day 7 - Thursday 22nd August - Full Day Edinburgh- Evening flight to Dublin

The streets of Edinburgh will be buzzing with energy due to the various festivals running this month and you will pass street performers and entertainment on every corner as you explore. Follow your curiosity through the twisting cobbled streets of the Old Town with your expert fringe guide and enjoy the vibrant ambience. There will be a huge variety of different shows and concerts to choose from if you wish to catch a performance.

A private transfer will collect you from your hotel in the late afternoon to take you to the airport in time for your flight to the Emerald Isle.

Arriving in Dublin this evening , a private transfer will pick you up from the airport and whisk you into the city to your 5 star hotel in the city centre. There are options to eat at your hotel, or we have some fantastic restaurant recommendations in the city for you and of course local pubs to check out for some traditional music.

Day 8 - Friday 23rd August - Golf & Guinness

Your Wilderness Ireland Guide will meet you at your city hotel this morning and together you will set out for the royal Dublin Golf Club and course on North Bull Island in Dublin Bay. Leave the city behind as you cross a wooden bridge to be greeted with lush green fairways and yellow sandy banks. The Royal is one of the oldest golf clubs in Dublin dating back to the 19th century and is the home club of the Irish legend Christy O’Connor.

After your morning on the green, your afternoon will be spent with an altogether different activity. Become a Guinness aficionado on your private Guinness Experience. Joining a local guide you will start at the Guinness Storehouse to experience the history, heart and soul of Ireland’s most iconic beer. From there you will be brought to three of Dublin’s most iconic traditional pubs & the best pints of Guinness the city has to offer in luxury transport! Taking in the sights, sounds and smells of the city along the way.

To round out your evening your guide will join you for dinner in one of the city excellent restaurants and pubs, checking out the local music scene.

Day 9 - Saturday 24th August - The Big Game Day

Spend the morning sightseeing in Dublin with a private historical walking tour guide this vibrant capital city, with its mix of 1,000 years of architecture from the mediaeval to Georgian to modern. See the Georgian style Merrion Square, lush St. Stephen’s Green and Fitzwilliam Square, as well as O’Connell Street, the site of the ‘1916 Uprising’ that led to Ireland’s independence in 1922. Your guide is also a historian who will bring the city to life with colourful tales of life in the city in times gone by.

This afternoon, don your team jersey and enjoy the game with locals and visitors alike.

Day 10 - Sunday 25th August - Dublin to Adare Manor, afternoon Golf

Leaving Dublin, we make our way to the west coast of Ireland, along the Wild Atlantic Way where the 5 star Adare Manor awaits.
The proud host of the 2027 Ryder Cup, the course at Adare offers a challenge to any player.
Celebrated golf architect Tom Fazio has taken what was already an award-winning course and transformed it into a parkland paradise befitting a country in the top tier of global golfing destinations.
We will enjoy lunch at the club house before taking to the course with some late afternoon tee times.

Why not head into town this evening for a casual dinner and some Sunday Sessions in a local pub.

Day 11 - Monday 26th August - Falconry, Clay Shooting & Whiskey

Enjoy some of the unique and bespoke activities and experiences Adare has to offer today starting with Falconry. Get up close and personal with the world’s most majestic birds of prey. Within our beautiful grounds, our professional resident falconer will introduce you to a selection of eight raptors from our family of impressive birds of prey from around the world.

Clay pigeon shooting is a sport that quickens your pulse, sharpens your eye, and rewards a cool head. Not far from the Gamekeeper’s Cottage on the Adare Manor estate, you can experience the excitement of shooting a rapidly moving target out of the sky. One-to-one instruction ensures that safety always comes first. It also means you will find your aim improving faster than you thought possible!

While you may explore the estate during the day, you can then retreat to a unique Whiskey Tasting Experience in the evening. You will be taken on an exploration on the vibrancy of four Irish whiskeys, guided by one of our expert team members within the impressive setting of The Wine Cellar.
