Tyndall's go Exploring

Day 1 - Sunday 18^th May - Welcome to Shetland

Your flight from Inverness is at 13:05.  Please arrive at the airport at least 1.5 hours prior to departure.

Juliet and Tommy will take you to the airport!

On arrival at Sumburgh at 14:55 you will pick up your car hire from the desk inside the airport (see email for details)

Then head north to your accommodation.

Day 2 - Monday 19^th May - Exploring Shetland

Lots of options for exploring today.  I’ve attached our own Shetland trip brochure below for you to look at.

Perhaps head south to St Ninians’ isle where seals can be seen basking on the shores and you can walk across the causeway at low tide.

Or head north to Eashness for a nice coastal walk to see the seabirds.

Day 3 - Tuesday 20^th May - To Yell and Unst

Head north to the islands of Yell and Unst today.  You’ll need to get 2 ferries to get to Unst but you could just explore Yell.  The timetable is attached in the drop down below.

Day 4 - Wednesday 21^st May - Lerwick and Boat Trip

Have a leisurely morning exploring the town of Lerwick with all it’s wollen shops!  Stop off at museums and enjoy some lunch on the harbour.

Have dinner at Busta tonight before heading back to Lerwick for your Evening Storm Petrel’s trip departing at 22:30

Day 5 - Thursday 22^nd May - Final day of Exploring

Head south this morning to explore Jarshof and the Sumburgh cliffs which are abundant with seabirds and a great place to spot wildlife.

Enjoy a tour of Jarlshof with it’s fascinating history and perhaps have some lunch at the cafe nearby.

Day 6 - Friday 23^rd May - Depart

Your flight back to Inverness is 12:55.  If you get up early enough, you could stop off at the Shetland Croft Museum before you drop the car off at the airport for the flight back.

Juliet and Tommy will be waiting for you in arrivals to bring you back to Kingussie!
