Friday 16th August – Monday 19th August 2024
On arrival at Edinburgh airport you will be met by the VIP team and whisked seamlessly through the airport to your awaiting guide who will also be your driver for the next 3 days. From here, you will head north out of the city ready to start your Highland Adventure.
Your first stop is a local loch where you will meet an expert kayak guide and set off across the water to the little island where the faint whisperings of a lone piper get louder as you approach. Enjoy some tasty treats on the island and exploring the ruined castle before heading back to the shoreline and onto your luxurious hotel in the sleepy highland village of Braemar.
Overnight: Braemar | The Fife Arms
Room Type: Royal Suite

After a good nights sleep, this morning you will have a slightly more relaxing adventure. Meet up with a local artist who will lead you on a guided journey on how to create art from the wonders of nature all around you. Stop and feel as the nature surrounds you and learn how to connect with nature through art – don’t worry, you don’t need to have any artistic prowess to find this experience truly exceptional.
After spending some time letting the sounds and smells of the national park wash over you it is time to feel invigorated as you dip your toes (or your whole body!) into the babbling river, feeling every fibre of your being tingle as the mountain water immerses you. Back on the land, warm up in the sauna and perhaps enjoy a wee warming dram before returning to your accommodation for the night.

Another day of adventure awaits today as you head out to explore some of the towering peaks that surround your hotel. Although there is the option to conquer a Munro (mountain over 3000ft) there are also some incredible hikes around the lochs and through the forest trails where the Scot’s pine sway in the breeze and the sunlight dapples through their outstretched needles. Your guide will discuss all of the options with you for today to make sure you make the most of your day.
Tonight, a really special treat awaits – head out into the wilderness to a campfire where you will meet a local storyteller who will regale you with stories of days gone by as your private chef cooks some delicious food over the open flames. To accompany this wonderful evening, a local harpist will be playing some traditional Scottish tunes in the background and you may even have the chance to have a go on this beautiful instrument. What a way to end your time in the Scottish highlands.

It is time to return to the bright lights of the city after your Wilderness Adventure. There is one last experience for you before you arrive back in the capital city as you drive along the sweeping drive and arrive to the sound of bagpipes. Glamis Castle was once the home of HM Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother and was the inspiration for one of the most famous Shakespearean plays – Macbeth. Explore the parts of the castle never normally open to the public and learn more about this incredible building and its integral part in the countries history.
After a wonderful morning enjoying this unique experience, you will head onwards to Edinburgh where your guide will drop you off at your accommodation and say farewell – leaving you with memories that will last a lifetime.
