As you embark on your Irish adventure, get ready to immerse yourselves in the rich cultural tapestry, stunning landscapes, and vibrant music scene that Northern Ireland has to offer. With our carefully curated itinerary and handpicked experiences, we aim to ensure that every moment of your trip is filled with joy, discovery, and cherished memories to last a lifetime.
Arriving into Belfast, your guide Dennis will meet you at the airport and take you the short distance to you central hotel.
We have some wonderful suggestions for your afternoon of exploration to introduce you to Belfast and Northern Ireland.
Housed in an iconic building in the beautiful surroundings of Belfast’s Botanic Gardens, the Ulster Museum is a place of awe and wonder; a place with open doors for open minds. Uniquely, it is a resource that locates Ulster’s shared and contested past within the broader context of the museum’s multidisciplinary Art, History and Natural Sciences collections; offering new perspectives and complementary prisms on the wider world.
We also highly recommend making the time to visit Crumlin Gaol, one of only a handful of remaining Victorian Era prisons, Crumlin only closed its door in 1996. A fascinating glimpse into the history of Ireland from the women and children housed here to the men hanged.
Dennis will join you for dinner tonight to welcome you to your short break in Ireland.

We start our day today with a visit the City of Derry, the only remaining completely walled city in Ireland and one of the finest examples of Walled Cities in Europe. Built in the 17th century, the walls, approximately 1.5km in circumference, form a walkway around the inner city and provide a unique promenade with which to view the layout of the original town.
Leaving Derry, we meander back towards the Belfast city along the stunning causeway coastal route stopping at the famed Bushmills Distillery for an afternoon tour and tasting. The Causeway Coastal Route is possibly one of the world’s greatest road trips, featuring castles, temples, cliff top walks, caves, Game of Thrones filming sites, remote islands and its most famous attraction, The Giant’s Causeway.

Francis channelled his love of Belfast into his education and career, and is now one of the North’s top tour guides. Embark on a dark journey into the social and political conditions that led to the infamous ‘Troubles’ periods of Belfast’s history. Sometimes the present can tell us a lot about the past, if you look! And so, on the wheel of life I now have more time to travel, have fun, explore and learn. I can still feel the childish excitement of seeing something new or making connections which help my understanding of the world. That is probably key to my own life’s path, and it hasn’t stopped yet.
Born in Dublin in the 1960s, we had the freedom of the city and nearby country to roam at will, and thus the seeds of adventure were born. Studies in Dublin and the UK were mixed with hill walking and climbing trips home and abroad as time and opportunity allowed. Family life and a career in Criminology followed. Life is a broad church so time was always made available to explore and take on new challenges. I do like to read too.
Favourite Place to Play
The Burren on the west coast of Ireland with its cliffs, hills, geology, history, flora and Atlantic waves. A joy. Oh, and anywhere in the hills and forests of Ireland that I can experience a trail run.

I have been captivated by Art. No doubt, it will be an enduring interest.
