Day by Day

Day 1 - Saturday 1st June - Fly from Dublin to Glasgow. Welcome To Scotland

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast before you head to the airport to catch your flight to Scotland. On arrival in Glasgow airport you will be met by your private Scotland guide, who will also act as your driver while you explore together. Together you will head north to the Highlands and the stunning scenery of Glencoe, which you may recognise as the backdrop to several big Hollywood films and TV series. Your guide will share some of the stories about this hauntingly beautiful place and you can explore the visitor centre to learn more about the ancient treachery and cattle rustling before you head to your unique accommodation.

Day 2 - Sunday 2nd June - Exploring Magical Skye

Today you have a full day to explore some of the special corners of this magical island with your guide. You will be spoilt for choice with fascinating history and dramatic landscape on offer, with unique hiking routes through stark and unusual rock formations and sweeping coast and mountain views to enjoy in almost every direction. This ‘misty isle’ is also home to so many curious stories and legends of fairies and islander culture, your guide will share some of the best hidden gems and personalise the day to your interests.

Day 3 - Monday 3rd June - 'Road To The Isles' & Over The Sea To Skye

Enjoy superb views as you head up the coast to Fort William at the foot of mighty Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the UK. Drive west along the stunning Road to the Isles, this is frequently listed as one of the most beautiful drives in the world and it is easy to see why. Your guide will share the tales of the local area as you go, making the landscape come alive with characters and history.

You may wish to stop at the historic Glenfinnan Monument, and see if you can spot the famous ‘Harry Potter Train’ puffing its way over the graceful arches of the viaduct. Take a stroll on the white sand beaches of Arisaig and soak in the views of the Small Isles before you carry on. At the small fishing town of Mallaig you board the afternoon ferry for the short trip over the sea to Skye and make your way to your shoreside hotel.

Day 4 - Tuesday 4th June - Eilean Donan Castle & Transfer to The Cairngorms

Returning to the mainland this morning, by way of the graceful Skye bridge, it is not long before you see one of the prettiest castles in Scotland. Eilean Donan occupies an island at the confluence of three sea lochs and stands in defiance of the towering peaks surrounding it. Take your time here to explore and enjoy the iconic view before continuing onwards through mountain glens and on towards the Cairngorms National Park. There are many opportunities for some superb short hikes with your guide along the way if you fancy, so discuss the best options for
