Perthshire is a little known gem in the Central Highlands. Native forests, containing some of the tallest trees in Britain, countless lochs, ribbons of rivers and impressive mountains make up this beautiful area in the centre of Scotland. Rich in history from the Iron Age to Mary Queen of Scots and beyond this is a fascinating area set against an incredible backdrop. The varied terrain for road cycling offers both gentle rolling hills and more challenging climbs, rewarding you with sweeping vistas of the Highlands
Your guide will pick you up in Edinburgh today. As you journey into Perthshire you’ll be greeted by tall trees and taller mountains. Weather permitting once out of the city you may want to get straight on your bikes. The varied terrain offers both gentle rolling hills and more challenging climbs, rewarding you with sweeping vistas of the Highlands. Quiet back roads lead you through remote glens, where the only sounds are your wheels on the tarmac and the distant call of wildlife. Each route immerses you in the wild beauty of Perthshire, making the journey as invigorating as the destination. After a day well spent either hiking or biking your guide will transfer you to your home for the next three nights in luxury castle accommodation.
