Cybele & Jen's Irish Adventure

Wednesday 20th August – Monday 25th August 2025

Duration: 6 Days / 5 Nights

Overview

Picturesque coastal towns and villages, green pastoral fields, soaring cliffs, wild barren landscapes, the crash of the ocean, the laugh of a local. Ireland is romantic, and authentic, a home away from home where both old and modern seem to cohabit seamlessly on a small island in the middle of the sea. Packed with history and tradition your days are spent exploring the island of Ireland’s famous and off-the-beaten-track sites of natural, cultural and political interest. A world-renowned food scene means your evenings are spent dining in style and with the promise of a pub just around the corner, music and laughter are never far away. Your trip to Ireland will surprise and delight you but the people of Ireland will stay with you, long after your journey has taken you home.

Day by Day

Day 1 - Wednesday 20th August - Céad míle fáilte - One Hundred Thousand Welcomes

Céad míle fáilte – or one hundred thousand welcomes – to Ireland’s capital, Dublin! Upon arrival, a private transfer will provide a smooth journey into the city and onwards to the hotel. There is no better introduction to Dublin than a private walking tour with a local guide, so after a bite to eat, head out to see the best of the city. Your guide is also a historian who will share the stories, characters, and events that have shaped Dublin through the centuries.

Overnight: Dublin | The Davenport Hotel
Room Type: x1 Classic Twin
Meals Included: None

Day 2 - Thursday 21st August - The Cliffs of Moher

Picking up our rental car and leaving Dublin, we make our way west to the Wild Atlantic Way and Co. Clare. Here we meet Cormac, a local who will lead you on a walk along Ireland’s famed Cliffs of Moher, part of the UNESCO Global Geopark. Visually stunning, the Cliffs stand at 702 ft at their highest point and stretch for 5 miles along the Atlantic coast. Cormac is passionate about the history, geology and heritage of this area and holds a wealth of knowledge on the surrounding landscape. Take in the views, stop by the visitor centre, and take the opportunity to snap some breathtaking photos. A small boutique 4-star manor house awaits us this evening. Gregans Castle Hotel is nestled in the heart of the Burren region, offering fine dining, sumptuous comfort and two resident donkeys just waiting to meet you.

Overnight: Ballyvaughan | Gregans Castle

Day 3 - Friday 22nd August - Farm Tour & Cheese Tasting

This morning, visit a charming, locally-owned goat farm for a private tour and tasting. Meet and feed the herd, visit the milking parlour, and learn about the traditional methods used to produce award-winning goat cheese. Watch the cheese-making process firsthand and enjoy a tasting of their full range of Irish cheeses, right there on the farm. This afternoon, enjoy a hike in the Burren – a rugged, limestone escarpment that comes alive in the spring and summer with wildflowers. Its unique, striated limestone landscape was shaped by ancient seas and is famous for its Mediterranean and alpine wildflowers.

Day 4 - Saturday 23rd August - Inis Mor By Bike

We hope the weather gods are on our side today as we head out to visit one of the remote islands that dot the Irish coastline. Inis Mor (Inishmore) is the largest of the three Aran Islands and our destination this morning. Now a bastion of traditional language, culture and music, the island is as interesting as it is beautiful. Home to a prehistoric semi-circular stone fort, and best explored by bicycle. Once on the island, we will rent local E-bikes for a day of exploration,  and our guide will introduce you to the most popular sights as well as the off-the-beaten-path hidden gems! Sailing back to the mainland, stay onboard for an extended sail under the Cliffs of Moher for a view most never get to witness.

Offering history, humour, and hospitality, and housed in a beautiful Georgian building, this private tour reveals the history of a city that has undergone remarkable changes in the last 100 years, from the visit of Queen Victoria to the global success of U2. Discover more about life in Ireland over the last 1,000 years with exclusive access to their prized collection in the company of a private host.
