Day 1 - Thursday 23^rd May - Welcome to Dublin

Arriving in Ireland today, a private transfer will pick you up from the airport and whisk you into the city to your boutique hotel in the city centre.

Head out later this morning to enjoy a private walking tour with a local private guide through this vibrant capital city, with its mix of 1,000 years of architecture from the mediaeval to Georgian to modern. See the Georgian style Merrion Square, lush St. Stephen’s Green and Fitzwilliam Square, as well as O’Connell Street, the site of the ‘1916 Uprising’ that led to Ireland’s independence in 1922. Your guide is also a historian who will bring the city to life with colourful tales of life in the city in times gone by.

Connect with the Lehmans later this afternoon and enjoy a dinner in Dublin. We have some great restaurant recommendations for you and are happy to make reservations.

Day 2 - Friday 24^th May - Free morning Exploring Dublin, afternoon GAA Experience

Spend the day with friends exploring some of Dublins well know sights either on your own or with the Lehmans.
Our suggestion is to start the morning at Trinity College with a tour of the campus followed by a visit to the famed Book of Kells housed in the long library at Trinity.
From here, cross the Liffey via Ha’Penny Bridge and make your way down the docks to EPIC, The Irish Emigration Museum, and one of our personal favourites, where the story of Irleland’s history with emigration is told over a series of rooms all with fantastic interactive exhibits.

After a local lunch, its time to grab a taxi and head to Naomh Mearnóg GAA club Portmarnock for your afternoon GAA Experience where you can test you skills with a Sliotar and Hurl.

Day 3 - Saturday 25^th May - Explore Glendalough Monastic Site

Today you get out of the city with your guide, John Neary, making your way to the Garden of Ireland, Wicklow and to its famed Powerscourt House and Gardens. Stretching over 47 acres and encompassing formal gardens, sweeping terraces, secret hollows and rambling walks, the Powerscourt Gardens have been voted in the Top Ten World’s Top Gardens by National Geographic.

The Wicklow Way is a 131 km long distance trail that crosses the Wicklow Mountains and one of its historic highlights is located at Glendalough. The Monastic City of Glendalough, founded by St Kevin in the 6th century became an important learning centre for early Christian monks and was the site of many viking raids and attacks over the years. Today the site is recognised for its historic importance with the addition of an interactive centre helping visualise the city in its former glory.

Day 4 - Sunday 26^th May - Bru Na Boinne

Today you visit and explore the Neolithic historical site, Brú na Bóinne. The World Heritage Site of Brú na Bóinne is Ireland’s richest archaeological landscape and is situated within a bend in the River Boyne. Brú na Bóinne is famous for the spectacular prehistoric passage tombs of Knowth, Newgrange and Dowth which were built circa 3200 BC. These ceremonial structures are among the most important Neolithic sites in the world and contain the largest collection of megalithic art in Western Europe.

For you final night in the city tonight, say goodbye to John before enjoying a final dinner at one of the many award winning restaurants Dublin has to offer.

Day 5 - Monday 27^th May - Little Musuem Dublin & Depart

A short 15 minute walk from your hotel and you will find history, humour and hospitality in the much loved Little Museum of Dublin on a private tour. At present the museum is undergoing some renovations to help preserve the beautiful Georgian building. However just five minutes walk away is  “The History Factory” and from here, Emmanuel will take you on a backstage tour through a host of exclusive, memorable experiences that celebrate the essence of Dublin’s history, hospitality and humour.

A captivating 30 minute orientation is at the heart of every visit to The History Factory. Guests will be able to enjoy a capsule collection of the Little Museum’s most unique and interesting artefacts, all donated by the people of Dublin.

Your private airport transfer will meet you at your hotel and take you on the return journey to Dublin Airport.
