Day by Day

Day 1 - Monday 13th July - Welcome to Scotland - The Home of Golf

Upon arrival into Scotland you will be met by your experience guide, who will also act as your driver for your time in Scotland. Together, you will make your way straight out of the city towards the home of golf – St Andrews.

On arrival into this beautiful coastal town, head out with your guide to explore this famous location. Known for it’s famous golf course, classic university, and as the launching pad for Prince William and Princess Kate’s romance, there is plenty to see and learn about.

Day 2 - Tuesday 14th July - Out On the Links and Scotland's East Coast

A visit to St Andrews would not be complete without a round at the fabled home of golf. This morning Jim will step out with his caddie for a round on one of the beautifully kept courses at St Andrews. Enjoy 18 holes, as your expert caddie provides you with all the information you need to get round in a great score.

While Jim hits the links, Diane will meet up with your guide and head out to explore some of the coastline. Chat with your guide about your options for a lovely low level walk – but one options is The Kingsbarn and Cambo circit. This 5.25km walk starts on a sandy beach, before following a burn into the Cambo estate, finishing on trails through some woodland paths.

The evening is then yours to enjoy as you wish, spending time at your hotel or trying out one of the eateries in St Andrews.

Day 3 - Wednesday 15th July - Edinburgh - BBG Pm

This morning you will travel south with your guide, back towards the capital of Scotland, Edinburgh. Your guide will take you to your city centre hotel where you can drop your bags before heading out with an expert local for a walking tour of Edinburgh’s famous streets. This tour will culminate at the magnificent Castle, standing proud above the city. Your local guide will leave you here, allowing you the chance to look around the castle at your own speed.

Following your time in the castle your driver guide will bid their farewells, leaving you with fond memories of your short time in Scotland.

The evening is yours to do with as you please. You could head out for dinner, or simply spend some time at your accommodation relaxing ahead of a travel day tomorrow.

Day 4 - Thursday 16th July - Transfer to Southport

This morning a private transfer will collect you from the foyer of your hotel and transport you in luxury to the north west coast of England in preparation for the upcoming golf tournament. Sit back and relax, as your travel through lowland Scottish countryside into England.

Day 5 - Friday 17th July - The Open - Day 2

Today, a private taxi will collect your from the hotel and make your way to Royal Birkdale for Day 2 of The Open golf championship. Spend the day watching the best golfers in the world plot their way around the course as they vie for the legendary Claret Jug.

*Tickets are currently not available for general sale and are released via ballot system to begin with. For this reason tickets cannot be guaranteed. They will be added as a supplement at a later date.

Day 6 - Saturday 18th July - South to the Capital of England

This morning, a private transfer will transport you seamlessly to the train station for your connection to London. Sit back and relax as your travel in luxurious first class on route to the Capital of England. Upon arrival into London, a private transfer will take you to your city centre hotel for your time here.

Day 7 - Sunday 19th July - A Foodie Tour of London

Enjoy breakfast in your hotel before being transported to Borough Market by private transfer, one of the oldest, most historic food markets in London and home to an eclectic mix of speciality food producers. Marvel at this London institution as your expert guide takes you on a culinary journey where you will sample some of the best that the market has to offer. Your foodie adventure will also take you to London Bridge, The Shard and other fascinating local sites.

Day 8 - Monday 20th July - Exploring the Capital on Foot and Water

After breakfast, met a local city guide in the foyer of your hotel and head out to explore London. You’ll be shown the best of the city and get the chance to dive into the history of this famous city. Your knowledgable guide will ensure you see all of the main spots, and even some of the lesser known locations that tourists sometimes miss.

Then, this evening, you will step aboard your evening dinner river cruise. Sit back and marvel and the skyline from the River Thames as you tuck into a delicious 3 course meal, and enjoy live entertainment onboard. This is the perfect way to cap off an incredible adventure in Scotland and England.

Day 9 - Tuesday 21st July - Depart
