Day 2 - Sunday 11th May - Padstow and Port Isaac

This morning, set off on a hike along a stunning stretch of the South West Coast Path, one of the UK’s most beloved national trails. As we follow the winding route, take in the breathtaking coastal views and the fresh sea air. The walk leads us to Padstow, a delightful harbour town where we can explore the quaint streets and perhaps indulge in a buttery Cornish pasty. As evening approaches, we make our way to Port Isaac, a charming 14th-century fishing village where white-washed cottages cluster along the cliffs overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Wander through the narrow, winding lanes, soak up the unique atmosphere, and end your day with a cosy dinner at a traditional inn.

Day 3 - Monday 12th May - Kennack Sands to Lizard Point

After breakfast, mosey your way south to explore the Lizard Peninsula. Begin your walk at the sweeping sandy shores of Kennack Sands. Perhaps roll up your trousers and walk through the surf, and with colourful wildflowers speckling the coastline, take in the beautiful views all around. Hike along the coast past Cadgwith, a tiny village home to a handful of fishing boats. Later this afternoon, arrive at your accommodation and enjoy a delicious dinner after a day spent in the fresh salty air.

Day 4 - Tuesday 13th May - Lizard Peninsula to Poldhu Cove

After a relaxed breakfast, lace up your boots and begin walking in the morning light. Hike along another section of coastline on a trail that winds its way steadily north. Look out for the serpentine stone that crayons the cliffs in red, white and green as you pass sandy beaches, smuggler coves and sea stacks noisy with seabirds. This afternoon, finish your walk at Poldhu Cove and from the headland, take in the views towards Dollar Cove, named after the wreck of a Spanish ship in 1669, in which the shoreline became awash with silver coins.

Overnight: Helston | Top House Inn
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Day 5 - Wednesday 14th May - Exploring St. Ives

Today nip up the west coast to the picturesque town of St. Ives. Popular with artists, this seaside village is a delightful jumble of cobbled streets, historic buildings and independent shops. Spend the morning enjoying the town, perhaps visiting the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden. An English artist and sculptor, Barbara Hepworth moved to St Ives at the beginning of the Second World War and remained there for the rest of her life. After lunch, join your guide to hike from Zennor along a wild stretch of coast where wild thyme blooms and the views stretch across an endless ocean. This evening, relax in St. Ives, perhaps taking an after-dinner stroll in the softness of dusk.

Overnight: Carbis Bay | Boskerris Hotel
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Day 6 - Thursday 15th May - Penberth Cove to Land’s End

Your penultimate day takes you to Land’s End – the most westerly tip of England. After breakfast, begin your hike in a tiny fishing hamlet, where a cobblestone slipway slides into turquoise water and the locals fish for mackerel, crab and lobster. Walk across the clifftops, stopping to explore Minack Theatre, a stunning open-air stage overlooking the Atlantic. Afterwards, pause for a snack and a paddle on a stunning sandy beach. This rocky, winding coastline is beautiful and invigorating, with plunging cliffs, sea caves, and deep blue pools. After reaching Land’s End, transfer back to St. Ives and take some time to relax before a celebratory dinner.

Overnight: Carbis Bay | Boskerris Hotel
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Day 7 - Friday 16th May - St Michael’s Mount and Depart

This morning head out to visit St Michael’s Mount, a tidal island home to an ancient castle, chapel and local community. Immerse yourself in stories of deception and disguise while you explore. Return to the mainland and pop to Wheal Coates, where you’ll have lunch and time for a short, stunning walk along the coastal path. Look out for the Wheal Prosper engine house, which strikes a remarkable silhouette against a big blue sky. Afterwards, head to St Austell for 3:30pm, where Steve will drop you off and you can begin your journey home.
