Day by Day

Day 1 - Thursday 27th June - Welcome to Scotland

On arrival at the airport you will be met by a private driver who will transfer you to your city centre where your host guide will meet you.  Once you have freshened up you can set off to start exploring the city.

This evening you’ll head out on a ghostly tour of the Old Town with your private guide.  Tales of blood, guts and gore will surround you as you explore Edinburgh’s mos haunted underground vaults – a fantastic way to start your time in this ancient city.

Day 2 - Friday 28th June - Exploring Edinburgh

This morning immerse yourselves in the winding cobbled streets of historic Old Town Edinburgh as you enjoy a private walking tour with an expert local guide. Discover the highlights of this unique capital city from the Palace of Holyroodhouse all the way up the ‘Royal Mile’ to the mighty ancient fortress which is Edinburgh Castle itself. Walk the ramparts atop castle rock and hear the tales of the One O’Clock gun and the stories of locals of times past.

After enjoying some lunch, the afternoon is free to explore at your own pace – perhaps stop off to buy some souvenirs or sit with a coffee and watch the world go by.  You’ll end the day with a private tour of Mary Kings Close where the truth about the darkest time in Edinburgh’s history will be unveiled – are you brave enough to step inside?

Day 3 - Saturday 29th June - Fashion and Furry Friends

This morning you will head to a local kilt maker to find out more about Scotland’s national dress and how the unique item of clothing is becoming a fashion favourite.  Listen to the stories of how this shop has been in the family for 2 generations and the age old techniques that are used to make these wonderful garments.

After lunch, you will head out to the nearby Pentland Hills to meet some furry friends.  Spend some time walking these cute alpaca’s through the stunning countryside and getting to know more about them before returning to your hotel for one last night in the capital city.

Day 4 - Sunday 30th June - The Rolling Hills of Perthshire

Your main driver guide will meet you at your hotel this morning and you will head north to the rolling hills of Perthshire. Your first stop will be Bannockburn, the site of one of Scotland’s most famous battles where you will meet a local storyteller who will bring this landscape to life with tales of victory and the change to history.

After enjoying lunch in Stirling you will continue north through the ever changing scenery before arriving at your castle hotel overlooking a shimmering loch where you can relax and unwind in the spa or simply sit back and enjoy the view.

Day 5 - Monday 1st July - Haunted Castles and Family Farms

Highland Perthshire is home to many myths and legends including haunted castles and tales of witchcraft.  However it is also home to some fabulous farms and this morning you will set off to visit a local dairy farm that make incredible cheeses.  Take a tour with the owners and find out more about how they live and work the land like the forefathers before them.

For your final night in Perthshire a wonderful experience awaits.  As the sun begins to dip behind the horizon head out to discover the chilling secrets of the ancestral seat Clan Menzies.  Will you meet the three grumpy women who supposedly haunt the castle’s meat cellar?  Will you be brave enough to enter the witches coven?  Only you can decide as you wander through the castle with the castle manager telling tales of days gone by.  A fantastic way to end your time in Scotland.

Day 6 - Tuesday 2nd July - Depart

Your guide take you to the airport to make your onward connections. Waving farewell for now but taking with you special memories and wonderful stories of your explorations.
