Day 1 - Thursday 25th July - Welcome to Scotland

On arrival at the airport you will be met by a private driver who will transfer you to your city centre hotel. Depending on your arrival time you can choose to relax at the hotel or head out to start exploring this unique city.

Day 2 - Friday 26th July - Exploring Edinburgh

This morning immerse yourselves in the winding cobbled streets of historic Old Town Edinburgh as you enjoy a private walking tour with an expert local guide. Discover the highlights of this unique capital city from the Palace of Holyroodhouse all the way up the ‘Royal Mile’ to the mighty ancient fortress which is Edinburgh Castle itself. Walk the ramparts atop castle rock and hear the tales of the One O’Clock gun and the stories of locals of times past. Your guide will leave you here so that you can spend as much time in the castle as you wish.

You then have a free afternoon to continue explorations at your own pace, pick up souvenirs or relax as you prefer.

This evening your will meet you expert guide who will be with you throughout your onward journey through Scotland, together, you will enjoy a meal at the Witchery, a iconic restaurant nestled in the gates of the Castle.

Day 3 - Saturday 27th July - Journey to Perthshire

This morning you will meet your guide, who will also be driver for your journey through Scotland. Embark on a scenic journey through towards Perthshire. Explore the historic Scone Palace and enjoy some lunch before continuing north. Your next stop will be a tour and tasting at the Highland Chocolatier. Finally, arriving at Fonab Castle, your luxurious accommodation for the next two nights, where you can unwind in elegant surroundings, dine on gourmet cuisine, and toast to the day’s adventures before retiring for the night.

Day 4 - Sunday 28th July - Steam Train Journey and Hidden Hut Picnic

Your day begins with your guide picking you up from your hotel, whisking you away to Aviemore to board the enchanting Strathspey Railway Steam train. As you journey through picturesque landscapes, immerse yourself in the nostalgia of steam travel. In the late afternoon, embark on a stunning remote picnic at a hidden hut nestled in the hills of the Cairngorm National Park. Choose between a scenic hour’s walk or a thrilling thirty-minute off-road drive in a Land Rover to reach this remote gem. Upon arrival, your well-earned picnic awaits, allowing you to savour delicious treats amidst nature’s tranquility. The memories made here will linger long after the day’s adventures have ended.

Day 5 - Monday 29th July - Travel North and Explore Loch Ness

Meet you guide this morning and venture north towards the legendary Loch Ness. Upon arrival, board a cruise to explore the mysterious waters of the loch, soaking in breathtaking views of the surrounding Highlands. As you glide across the tranquil surface, keep an eye out for any signs of the elusive Loch Ness Monster. Following your cruise, continue to Urquhart Castle, perched on the shores of Loch Ness. Step back in time as you explore the ruins of this historic fortress, learning about its fascinating past and enjoying panoramic views of the iconic loch. Before heading to you accommodation in Inverness, enjoy an afternoon hike on the shores of the loch, making the most this special place.

Day 6 - Tuesday 30th July - Over the Sea to Skye

This morning, meet your guide to scenic drive to the beautiful Isle of Skye. Along the way, make a stop for a short walk and some lunch before continuing onwards to the iconic Eilean Donan Castle, nestled amidst the stunning sea loch and mountains. Explore the ancient halls and storied walls of this historic fortress. After your visit, continue on to the Isle of Skye, where even more enchanting adventures await. Settle into your hotel and prepare to explore this awe inspiring island with its rugged landscapes and otherworldly beauty.

Day 7 - Wednesday 31st July - Boat Trip & Hiking to the Wild Loch Coruisk

This morning you head out to explore the secretive Loch Coruisk with your guide. From the tiny fishing village of Elgol you take a boat trip to the heart of the Black Cuillin mountains which tower above the blue waters of the loch. Along the way you can spot seals and perhaps dolphins in the coastal waters. The boat will drop you at the remote southern end of the loch to being your hike, drink in the atmosphere of this stupendous place and enjoy a packed lunch with a view before boarding the boat again. Today is sure to be a highlight of the trip with memories to cherish.

Day 8 - Thursday 1st August - Exploring the Misty Isle

This morning head out for a day of hiking, there is no better way to explore the Isle of Skye. Your guide will suggest a hike based on your preferences and the weather forecast. Perhaps take on a challenge and explore Coire Lagan, a stunning corrie nestled in the Cuillins, a tiny and remote loch surrounded by towering peaks. Or take a longer journey to a shorter but iconic walking loop to the The Old Man of Storr. Ascend through rugged terrain to reach the iconic rock formation, the loop trail provides breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, making it a must-visit destination for nature enthusiasts. After an active day, enjoy a delicious meal to celebrate a wonderful adventure in Scotland.

Day 9 - Friday 2nd August - Depart

This morning, your guide will take you back to Inverness airport to make your onward connections. Waving farewell to the Highlands for now but taking with you special memories and wonderful stories of your explorations.
