Day by Day

Day 1 - Friday 2nd May - Welcome to Scotland

On arrival at the airport you will be met by your expert private guide, who will also be your driver for your adventure in Scotland.

Together, you will make your way on a scenic drive to the stunning Cairngorms National Park, home to mountains, lochs, ancient forests and amazing wildlife.

Along the way, stop in Dunkeld and Pitlochry, steeped in history, these little hamlets are the perfect places wander around the shops to pick up souvenirs, local crafts and sample some delicious bakery treats! Take a tour of Blair Atholl Castle, the home of the Atholl family for over seven centuries.

On arrival in the Cairngorms, settle into your Farmhouse accommodation and enjoy a beautiful home cooked meal before resting for the evening.

Day 2 - Saturday 3rd May - Explore the National Park and Meet the Reindeer

The Cairngorms offers a plethora of activities to experience with your guide. Begin your day with a scenic hike or perhaps a thrilling 4×4 experience led by conservationists, taking you through the foot of the glen, across rushing rivers and up to the mountain tops.

This afternoon, visit the Cairngorm Reindeer Centre to see the UK’s only free-ranging herd of reindeer up close.

In the evening, experience the thrill of observing nocturnal animals in their natural habitat with a cool wildlife hide experience, providing a unique and unforgettable glimpse into the park’s vibrant ecosystem.

Day 3 - Sunday 4th May - Scotland's History and Wildlife Hide

After breakfast, visit the Highland Folk Museum, where you can step back in time and experience life in the Highlands from the 1700s to the 1960s.visit the historic

Spend the rest of the afternoon immersed in the natural beauty of Cairngorms National Park with your expert guide. Take a hike along one of the park’s picturesque trails, where you can enjoy the stunning scenery and diverse wildlife.

In the evening, immerse yourself in Scottish culture with a storytelling session at your hotel, listening to tales of local folklore and legends, creating an unforgettable end to your day.

Day 4 - Monday 5th May - Discover the City of Edinburgh

Bidding farewell to your guide, depart from Kingussie by first class train and journey to Edinburgh, arriving around lunchtime.

After checking in at The Bonham Hotel, embark on an afternoon walking tour of the historic city with an expert city guide for the afternoon. Explore the cobbled streets and alleys of the Royal Mile, visit the majestic Edinburgh Castle, and take in panoramic views of the city. Learn about Edinburgh’s rich history and vibrant culture from your knowledgeable guide before enjoying a relaxing evening in this enchanting city.

Day 5 - Tuesday 6th May - Farewell to Scotland

A private transfer will collect you from your accommodation and take you to the airport to make your onward connections. Waving farewell for now but taking with you special memories and wonderful stories of your explorations.
