Day by Day

Day 1 - Saturday 21st September - Welcome to Dublin - Jameson Tasting

On arrival in Dublin, you’ll be met at arrivals by a private transfer who will whisk you directly to your city centre hotel. Take some time to settle in before indulging at an exclusive and intimate pairing experience, hosted in the Jameson Distillery’s maturation warehouse. Experience the Angels’ Share as you enjoy the quintessential style of Irish Whiskey making, perfectly paired with luxury, hand-made Irish chocolates. Unlock all your senses, and enjoy this unforgettable whiskey journey. Later this evening, enjoy some free time, before dining in the hotel’s restaurant or in one of the many delightful eateries that pepper the streets of this vibrant, capital city.

Day 2 - Sunday 22nd September - Historical Walking Tour

Enjoy a morning of solo exploration before joining a local historian for an engaging walking tour of the lively capital city. Explore some of Dublin’s best-known attractions, while also enjoying the benefit of local knowledge by visiting spots hidden off the tourist trail. Later today, it’s time to visit the historical Trinity College for a walk around the campus, finishing with a visit to The Book of Kells and old library. We recommend partaking in Dublin’s lively pub scene this afternoon – Temple Bar anyone?

Day 3 - Monday 23rd September - Drive to Kinsale via Kilkenny

This morning collect your rental car in Dublin city and make your way south, to the foodie haven of Kinsale. Firstly, we recommend a stop in the medieval town of Kilkenny to stretch your legs and take a tour of the castle. Continue on to your home for the next two nights -Kinsale is a bolthole for Ireland’s most culinary-minded and its pretty harbour with mystical sea views is an idyllic place for an adventure.  A visit to 17th century star-shaped Charles Fort or a sunset stroll along a waterside walkway is a perfect end to your day’s touring.

Day 4 - Tuesday 24th September - Coastal Foraging & Picnic Tour

You may want to skip breakfast this morning! Enjoy an experience ideal for the outdoor enthusiast and foodie. Meet a local guide at the coastal enclave of Sandycove where you will have a sumptuous picnic waiting for you in this gorgeous location. Relax, take in the views and breathe in the clean, salty air. You will be taken on a wee excursion to forage and learn about wild seaweeds, shellfish and plants. Feast on local and wild foods in your delectable picnic. This evening, take a walk along the harbour and enjoy the sunset.

Day 5 - Wednesday 25th September - Drive to Galway

This morning you have quite a drive in front of you, but we will provide plenty of recommendations for sights along the way! First up is a place voted “Ireland’s prettiest village” for a browse at the thatched cottages. Next, experience medieval Ireland with a stop at the iconic 15th century Bunratty Castle, which was a Viking trading camp in 970. Check into your 5* hotel this evening which dates back to the 18th century and where old-world charm meets contemporary elegance.

Day 6 - Thursday 26th September - Golf & Onsite at Glenlo Abbey

We have reserved a tee time for two at the unique Championship 9-Hole Golf Course which is quickly becoming one of the best golf courses in Ireland. With rolling hills set upon the banks of Lough Corrib, it’s easy to see why! It is perfectly located on The Wild Atlantic Way and has been recognised as one of Ireland’s best 9-hole golf courses. For everyone else, there are plenty of activities onsite at Glenlo Abbey including the spa, falconry, fishing, cycling and some lovely walking trails.

Day 7 - Friday 27th September - Depart
