Day by Day

Day 1 - Friday 7th June - Arrival in Ireland

Arriving in Shannon airport this morning, your guide will meet you at arrivals and together you will make your way to Connemara. En route, you will stop off in Galway for a delicious lunch before enjoying a walking tour of the city. Afterwards, check into your hotel and your guide will join you for a welcome dinner onsite tonight.

Day 2 - Saturday 8th June - Inishbofin

This morning, take the ferry to Inishbofin, a small island nestled off the rugged Connemara coastline. You’ll enjoy an island adventure on foot, enjoy a delicious picnic while you overlook the wilds of the Atlantic and the vistas it offers! Back on the mainland, head to Mitchell’s in Clifden for a fresh seafood meal.

Day 3 - Sunday 9th June - Galway Crystal

Today you’ll visit Galway Crystal, renowned for its meticulously crafted pieces and timeless elegance. Take a private tour of the factory and enjoy a bite to eat before heading further south to the small village of Ballyvaughan. Stop off to view Dunguaire Castle, a 17th century tower house. Check in to your hotel and take a wander through the streets of Ballyvaughan, the more active of the group can choose to hike this afternoon. Your accommodation tonight has a lovely restaurant overlooking the pier.

Day 4 - Monday 10th June - The Cliffs of Moher

This morning, drive 30 minutes south to the Cliffs of Moher, rising 700 feet from the ocean. Enjoy a full day walk along this iconic coast line. Take time to experience wild dining with a picnic on high. That evening you will eat in a local thatch cottage The Ivy in Doolin.

Day 5 - Tuesday 11th June - The Burren & The Burren Perfumery

Depart for The Burren National Park and visit some spectacular megalithic tombs on the way. Experience the wild beauty, roaming goats and the unique fauna that inspired Tolken’s iconic Lord of The Rings.

Visit The Burren perfumery where they harness the aroma of the local landscape. Take time to browse and enjoy a leisurely lunch.

Onwards to your castle abode for the next two nights, and enjoy a dinner fit for a King or Queen.

 

Day 6 - Wednesday 12th June - Dromoland Castle

Today you will be treated to Dromoland Castle on site activities. Mum & Dad can enjoy a couple’s treatment in the spa, while Female Child will enjoy an estate horse riding experience with a professional instructor. Male Child will enjoy the lake water sports such as stand up paddling and kayaking. Granny can take a break with a tour of the gardens with the gardeners. Your guide will join you for a banquet dinner at Dromoland.

Overnight: Dromoland Castle

Day 7 - Thursday 13th June - Depart

This morning your guide will drop you back to Shannon Airport.
