Overview

Ireland is an ancient Celtic land where you will experience picturesque coastal towns and villages, green pastoral fields, soaring cliffs, wild barren landscapes, the crash of the ocean, the laugh of a local. Ireland is romantic, authentic, a home away from home where both old and modern seem to cohabit seamlessly on a small island in the middle of the sea. Packed with history and tradition your days are spent exploring the island of Ireland’s famous and of the beaten track sites of natural, cultural and political interest. A world renowned food scene means your evenings are spent dining in style and with the promise of a pub just around the corner, music and laughter are never far away. Your trip to Ireland will surprise and delight you but the people of Ireland will stay with you, long after your journey has taken you home.

Day by Day

Day 1 - Sheep Dog Demo & Galway city

Optional Two Night Connemara Extension

For those who wish to extend their time in Ireland today you visit The Burren National Park, designated a UNESCO site due to its unique other-worldly limestone landscape containing a fascinating mix of unusual flora, fauna, geology and ancient archeology alongside the thriving farming communities. This morning, visit some captivating collies at work demonstrating their herding skills against the backdrop of a 1,000 year old fort on a traditional working farm.

This afternoon, explore Galway’s bohemian charms either i the company of your guide or under your own steam if preferred.
Galway’s streets are full of street performers, buskers, live theatres and those who love to immerse themselves in the arts and culture scene. Along with the arts, Galway often holds festivals and markets such as the Galway oyster Festival, The Galway Arts Festival and even a comedy festival. Depending on the time of year you are visiting we will always give you the local low down on where to go.

This evening, we leave Galway city heading for the wild region of Connemara. Surrounded by The Twelve Bens Mountain range your deluxe hotel is nestled in a stunning valley with acres of forest, trails, mountains and countryside to enjoy.

We recommend you dine in the on site Fishermans Pub this evening for casual dining.
