Day by Day

Day 1 - Monday 21st July - Welcome to Dublin

Arriving in Ireland today, a private transfer will pick you up from the airport and whisk you into the city to your 5 star hotel in the city centre. Check-in is at 3pm however feel free to leave your bags, freshen up, or have a bite to eat.

Head out in the afternoon to enjoy a walking tour with a local private guide through this vibrant capital city, with its mix of 1,000 years of architecture from the mediaeval to Georgian to modern. See the Georgian style Merrion Square, lush St. Stephen’s Green and Fitzwilliam Square, as well as O’Connell Street, the site of the ‘1916 Uprising’ that led to Ireland’s independence in 1922. Your guide is also a historian who will bring the city to life with colourful tales of life in the city in times gone by.

Day 2 - Tuesday 22nd July - Iconic Dublin

Today explore some of the best of Dublin. From the historic Trinity College and the Book of Kells, to the Guinness Storehouse with it’s iconic 360 degree rooftop bar and the stout know around the world.

You’ll see remnants of the past present and future as you walk the cobbled streets, walk past buildings with the bullet holes from the revolution, find viking remnants and castles around the corners and much more in this lively city.

After a busy day we’ll recommend some of the best places to hear a lilting tune and enjoy a pint.

Day 3 - Wednesday 23rd July - Dublin to Belfast

After a leisurely morning, catch the train from Dublin, head into the heart of Northern Ireland, Belfast. Stroll through the lively streets adorned with colourful murals that tell tales of the city’s resilience and transformation. If you have time today, head into the Titanic Museum for a look at the build and historical impact of the Titanic on the city of Belfast before it met it’s fate.

Day 4 - Thursday 24th July - Titanic and beyond

This morning, explore Belfast in the comfort of a black cab with a local guide. Once a city marked by bloody battles and civil strife, Belfast’s complex history unfolds as you dive into the era of The Troubles. You’ll visit the city’s murals and peace walls, hear firsthand stories of life during the conflict, and view historical photographs, all narrated by someone who lived through those turbulent times, offering a deep understanding of Northern Ireland’s dramatic past. Along the way, you’ll also see iconic landmarks like Stormont, Crumlin Road Gaol, and City Hall, each playing a significant role in Belfast’s history. In the evening, indulge in Belfast’s growing reputation as a foodie destination.

Day 5 - Friday 25th July - Giants Causeway

Following a stunning coastal route along the Causeway Coast, it’s easy to see why this region was named a top destination by Lonely Planet. Admire ancient castle ruins, dramatic cliffs, stunning beaches, and picturesque harbors, all while passing through locations that inspired and appeared in Game of Thrones. The highlight of the day is a walk along the Gobbins Path, a thrilling cliffside route with breathtaking views. Cross dramatic bridges and pathways that hug the coastline, offering an unforgettable experience of nature’s beauty and the area’s rich heritage. Wrap up your day in the beautiful and relaxing Salthouse Hotel.

**Please note there was a rock fall at Gobbins and it is currently closed for bookings, with hope to re-open in the end of May. Alternatively I would recommend spending the afternoon with a local farmer this day.

Day 6 - Saturday 26th July - Giants Causeway

After a relaxed breakfast, head out with a local guide to hike along the majestic Causeway Coastal Route. Bright in the summer months with pink thrift and white sea campion, stroll along the cliff tops watching seabirds swoop and dive above the swell. With the landscape growing wilder with each step, the iconic Giant’s Causeway will soon come into view. Chat with your guide about Finn MacCool and Benandonner, a legend born from this unique and mesmerising coastline. Return to your hotel this evening for a warming dram of whiskey and a delicious dinner.

Day 7 - Sunday 27th July - Whiskey and Chocolates

Today explore your senses and taste buds along the northern coast, after a relaxing morning head to meet our friends at a local chocolatier for a tasting and creating experience.

After a lunch stop, top off your day with a private whiskey experience in Bushmills Distillery. One of the oldest licensed distilleries in the world, with a history dating back to 1608. Gather some unique tastings and even gather a bottle to go.

You return to your lovely coastal accommodation once more this evening, perhaps venturing into the town for a lively local tune and some traditional food.

Day 8 - Monday 28th July - Ballycastle to Derry

Today you have plenty of time to unwind and take life at your own pace, you can enjoy the hotel’s spa before checking out this morning, or if you feeling like getting a move on we will make some suggestion of stops on your drive from Ballycastle to Derry.

Arriving in the beautiful and historic city of Derry, unwind in your historically rich and beautiful accommodation, the Bishop’s Gate. We’ll wield you with suggestions to get started in town.

Day 9 - Tuesday 29th July - Derry City

Derry City is the only remaining completely walled city in Ireland and one of the finest examples of Walled Cities in Europe. Built in the 17th century, the walls, approximately 1.5km in circumference, form a walkway around the inner city and provide a unique promenade with which to view the layout of the original town. Your private tour guide will incorporate the tragic events of Jan 30th 1972 when a peaceful protest turned violent leading to the killing of 14 unarmed men and boys along with the injury of many other in an event knows as Bloody Sunday. Take a step off Derry’s 400-year-old City Walls and step inside the delightfully Dickensian Craft Village – the Jewel inside Derry’s crown. The reconstructed 18th Century streets meets a 19th century square, packed with an inviting mix of artisan shops, home to local crafters, restaurants and coffee shops – the perfect lunch/ afternoon tea activity!

Day 10 - Wednesday 30th July - Derry to Dublin

Take your time this morning and when you’re ready head back down towards Dublin, we’ll offer a few suggestions to break up the drive.

Back in Dublin this evening, you’ll have the chance to dive deeper into Dublin City.

Day 11 - Thursday 31st July - Depart

A private transfer will collect you from your accommodation and take you to the airport to make your onward connections. Waving farewell for now but taking with you special memories and wonderful stories of your explorations.
