Day 1 - Sunday 7th September - Welcome to Scotland

On arrival at the airport you will be met by a private driver who will transfer you to your city centre hotel. Depending on your arrival time you can choose to relax at the hotel or head out to start exploring this unique city.

Day 2 - Monday 8th September - Historic Edinburgh

This morning immerse yourselves in the winding cobbled streets of historic Old Town Edinburgh as you enjoy a private walking tour with an expert local guide. Discover the highlights of this unique capital as you wander up the ‘Royal Mile’ to the mighty ancient fortress which is Edinburgh Castle itself. Walk the ramparts atop castle rock and hear the tales of the One O’Clock gun and the stories of locals of times past.

Your guide will leave you here so that you can spend as much time in the castle as you wish. You then have a free afternoon to continue your explorations at your own pace, pick up souvenirs or relax as you prefer.

Day 3 - Tuesday 9th September - Royal Yacht Britannia & Foodie Leith

This morning a private driver will collect you from your hotel and take you to the neighbourhood of Leith. This area used to be a typical port area, but in recent years has regenerated and is now full of foodie interest and home to the Royal Yacht Britannia. This floating palace used to be enjoyed by Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh and is an opulent and fascinating exploration.

Afterwards you will be met by an engaging private guide for a foodie exploration of the local area. Discover the varied history and layers of flavours along the waterfront with some delectable treats. The afternoon is free for you to keep exploring or make your way back to your hotel to relax, the choice is yours.

Day 4 - Wednesday 10th September - The Outer Hebrides

Fly to Outer Hebs. Meet Guide. Calanais Standing Stones.

Flights NOT included and are to be self-arranged.

Day 10 - Tuesday 16th September - Skye to Inverness via Eilean Donan

Returning to the mainland this morning, by way of the graceful Skye bridge, it is not long before you see one of the prettiest castles in Scotland. Eilean Donan occupies an island at the confluence of three sea lochs and stands in defiance of the towering peaks surrounding it. Take your time here to explore and enjoy the iconic view before continuing onwards through mountain glens. There are options for a hike on route if you want, or enjoy a rest day and enjoy the views without the effort. Keep your eyes open for ‘Nessie’ as you pass the deep secretive waters of Loch Ness. Then continue to a warm welcome at your accommodation in The Black Isle north of  Inverness.

Day 11 - Wednesday 17th September - Options - Aviemore Area OR Culloden/Black Isle

Day 12 - Thursday 18th September - Over The Snow Roads to Braemar

Today you transfer deep into the heart of the Cairngorms National Park. Your route takes you over the ‘snow roads’ and there are many options for scenic hikes on route. Your guide will discuss the best options to suit the day. Your destination is the Fife Arms Hotel, a fabulously unique and opulent experience created by acclaimed Hauser & Wirth. Here you will find many remarkable conversation pieces and an experience not to be forgotten.
