Today you will meet your Guide/Driver for the rest of your Scottish adventure. Together you will head North to the beautiful rolling countryside of Perthshire where you will head out to explore on foot with a scenic hike. There are lots of options for and your qualified guide will help you choose an option based on the weather and your preferred level of challenge, sharing the local stories as you go. Whether you decide to head into the hills or opt for a gentle glen stroll you are sure to enjoy the spectacular views of rolling hills, forest and sparkling lochs. Late this afternoon learn the gentile art of falconry with an expert Falconer. This ‘sport of kings’ dates back thousands of years and will astound you with the beauty and accuracy displayed.

This morning your party splits to follow different interests. Half of you head out to test your casting skills with a local fly fishing expert. Enjoy the tranquility of the location and the challenge as you improve your casting technique and see what you can catch. For those not participating in the fly fishing, there are plenty of other options in the area, perhaps explore the nearby charming village of Pitlochry or enjoy the fabulous spa facilities at your luxurious hotel (your guide will be available if you wish to explore with them).
Spend the afternoon delighting your taste buds, starting with a chocolate tasting at the Highland Chocolatier, trying some of their delectable award-winning truffles. Continue your tasting journey with a private tour of Aberfeldy Distillery located in the heart of scenic Perthshire, learning about the history of this Scottish speciality. Raising a glass to toast your adventures as you taste some special drams of ‘Uisge Beatha’ or ‘water of life’.

Today you depart the Highlands, heading towards Edinburgh via the historic city of St Andrews. Explore this characterful university town, full of history and stories and more recently the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge famously met during their studies here. However, St Andrews is much better known for being the ‘birthplace of golf’ and you can see ‘The Old Course’ spread out along the coastline.
This afternoon delight in a visit to one of the charming and picturesque fishing villages. These harbour houses are now popular with artists and writers but the sea still has a heavy influence on everyday life for most people in the local communities. Sampling traditional fish and chips here is a must!
Your guide will drop you at your welcoming city centre hotel and depart, leaving you to enjoy your city explorations and the rest of your trip.

This morning immerse yourselves in the winding cobbled streets of historic Old Town Edinburgh as you enjoy a private walking tour with an expert local guide. Discover the highlights of this unique capital city from the Palace of Holyroodhouse all the way up the ‘Royal Mile’ to the mighty ancient fortress which is Edinburgh Castle itself. Walk the ramparts atop castle rock and hear the tales of the One O’Clock gun and the stories of locals of times past. Your guide will leave you here so that you can spend as much time in the castle as you wish. You then have a free afternoon to continue your explorations at your own pace, pick up souvenirs or relax as you prefer.
