Growing up in Sligo, I spent childhood summers exploring the beaches, lakes and landscapes of the west coast of Ireland, which gave me a love and appreciation for the outdoors that has never left me.

I studied Mechanical Engineering, then worked in the energy and emissions reduction industry for ten years in the UK before leaving the corporate world to fully pursue my passion for the outdoors and return to living by the coast and mountains.

I am happiest in, on, or around the water, whatever the weather! I love whitewater kayaking, dunking myself in the sea, attempting to surf, or just wandering on the beach with the sound of the waves crashing beside me. When not immersing myself in the outdoors or adventuring with Bridget the Van, you’ll probably find me cooking or learning how to keep all the vegetables in the polytunnels alive.

Sunday drives, picnics and hiking as a girl guide opened up my love of being outdoors and having fun. Generally speaking, whatever the weather, I enjoy spending time exploring and finding hidden gems off the beaten track.

I love to travel and meet people and share experiences. I am energised by serendipity and going with the flow of life. I have fun making mixed media art, decoupage, photographing lichens, paddle boarding, sea swims, and being in nature. I love to share these experiences with others and have fun.
