A green grade hiking journey starting with a Dublin tour, then exploring Ireland’s scenic southwest peninsulas from Cork to the Ring of Kerry. Each day blends relaxed hiking with enriching cultural encounters, offering an immersive exploration of Ireland’s vibrant heritage. The trip concludes at Shannon Airport, with an optional drop-off in Limerick.

Day by Day

Day 1 - Dublin's Fair City

A private transfer will meet you at the airport and take you to your Dublin hotel.  In the afternoon, embark on an city walking tour. You’ll explore Dublin’s historic streets, taking in the stunning architecture, visiting famous landmarks, and discovering hidden gems. Along the way, the guide will share fascinating stories and insights about the city’s past and present, giving you a deeper understanding of Dublin’s unique character and charm. This evening get to know your guide and your group over a welcome drink followed by dinner at a popular Dublin restaurant.

Day 2 - Rock of Cashel

Transfer to West Cork, enjoying a scenic journey that includes a stop at The Rock of Cashel. Day 3 - Hike near Glengarriff and visit Garnish Island

Day 4 - Hike the Beara Peninsula

Embark on an unforgettable hiking expedition on the enchanting Beara Peninsula, renowned for its rugged coastline, sweeping vistas, and pristine natural beauty. Day 5 - Killarney National Park

Experience a day of exploration and discovery in Killarney National Park, with a serene boat trip across the tranquil waters of Lough Leane. As you glide along, surrounded by the park’s verdant landscapes and mirrored reflections, take in the peaceful ambiance of this pristine natural setting.

Upon reaching shore, embark on a picturesque hike through Killarney’s diverse terrain. Day 6 - Inch Strand and Dingle

Enjoy a leisurely morning with a scenic beach walk along Inch Strand, a stunning stretch of sandy coastline nestled between the Dingle Peninsula and the Ring of Kerry. Take in the panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and the rugged mountains in the distance, while keeping an eye out for local wildlife such as seabirds soaring overhead or dolphins playing in the surf.

After your beach walk, indulge in a delightful lunch at The South Pole Inn, a historic pub with a cozy atmosphere and a rich maritime history. Named in honor of Antarctic explorer Tom Crean, who once owned the pub, The South Pole Inn offers a menu of hearty Irish dishes made with locally sourced ingredients.  Immerse yourself in the vibrant culture of the region with an authentic traditional music session at a local pub. Day 7 - Slea Head and the Blasket Centre

Hike along Slea Head, one of the most picturesque and dramatic parts of the Dingle Peninsula. The trail offers breathtaking views of the rugged coastline, with the Atlantic Ocean crashing against the cliffs below and the distant Blasket Islands dotting the horizon. As you hike, take in the stunning scenery, including rolling green hills, ancient stone walls, and quaint farmhouses. The path will lead you to scenic overlooks where you can pause to capture the beauty of this wild and unspoiled landscape.

After your hike, visit the Blasket Centre, a fascinating heritage and cultural museum dedicated to the history and legacy of the Blasket Islands. The centre offers a deep dive into the lives of the islanders who lived on the Blaskets until they were evacuated in 1953. Through engaging exhibits, multimedia presentations, and personal stories, learn about the unique Gaelic culture, the challenges of island life, and the rich literary heritage that emerged from this small community.

Day 8 - Adare Village and return to Dublin

Today we will depart Dingle and head back to Dublin for trip finale. We will stop in the quaint Adare village where you will have the chance to browse local craft boutiques.  Check in to your Dublin hotel where you will bid farewell to your guide and rest before your onward journey tomorrow.

Day 9 - Farewell!
