Day 1 - Monday 1st July - Welcome to Dublin

Arriving in Ireland today, a private transfer will pick you up from the airport and whisk you to your boutique hotel in the city centre. Check in, grab a bite and Dublin is yours to explore for the afternoon. We’ll give you plenty of recommendations to keep you busy throughout the day. This evening, enjoy dinner at one of Dublin’s many award-winning restaurants before ending the night in a cosy pub.

Day 2 - Tuesday 2nd July - Guinness Storehouse Experience

Today you’ll indulge your senses in the world of Guinness as we have arranged a connoisseur’s private experience at the Guinness Storehouse, where you will discover the history and origins of the world-famous stout. There is an endless list of things to do in Dublin, some of our recommendations include a Georgian townhouse tenement museum and a landmark building that was once the scene of some of Ireland’s most important political events.

Day 3 - Wednesday 3rd July - Solo Exploration of Dublin

Dublin is yours to explore today. Take a stroll around lush St. Stephen’s Green, visit the GPO located on O’Connell Street and the site of the ‘1916 Uprising’ that led to Ireland’s independence in 1922. Explore the National Museum of Ireland, where Archaeology awaits and you can discover Ireland’s archaeological treasures. Dublin is known for its rich history, literary heritage and friendly atmosphere and we have plenty of suggestions for some must see places.

Day 4 - Thursday 4th July - Solo Exploration of Dublin

Dublin has been described as the “city with a village feel” and as you explore its cobbled streets and historical monuments it will be easy to see why. Immerse yourself in the vibrant Temple Bar area, known for its lively pubs, restaurants, and live music. Visit Kilmainham Gaol, a former prison that played a significant role in Irish history. Take a guided tour to learn about the prison’s history and its association with the struggle for Irish independence. We recommend heading to the west of the city today and exploring the area around The Phoenix Park.

Day 5 - Friday 5th July - Blarney Castle & Killarney

Checking out of your hotel this morning, say goodbye to Dublin as you make your way further south to Killarney. Pick up your rental car – you have a 4 hour journey in front of you but we’ll recommend plenty of stops to get out and stretch your legs. You’ll visit Blarney where you will visit the castle and kiss the Blarney Stone. Continue on and check in to your accommodation, nestled on the shore of the Lough Lein and with the truly unique backdrop of the mountains, islands, woodlands, and the 12th century McCarthy Mór castle ruins. Enjoy some free time to explore the colourful Killarney town this afternoon, known for its bustling atmosphere and traditional Irish pubs. Finish the day listening to some tunes by an open fire.

Day 6 - Saturday 6th July - Exploring Killarney

Today we recommend exploring Killarney National Park. This was the first National Park to be established in Ireland and was created when the Muckross Estate was donated to the state in 1932. Today the park encompasses 26,000 acres of mountains, woodlands, lakes, waterfalls and history. Discover some of Killarney’s most breath-taking mountains, lakes and waterfalls as you explore the park. Visit the mediaeval tower house at Ross Castle, tour Muckross House, visit Torc Waterfall, board a lake boat, sail the tranquil waters and take in the stunning scenes from Ladies View. A day spent in Killarney will always be memorable.

Day 7 - Sunday 7th July - The Dingle Peninsula

Today you’ll leave Killarney behing as you make your way to The Dingle Peninsula, which hosts some of the richest collection of archaeological sites in Europe, ranging from standing stones and prehistoric monuments, as well as the peninsula’s renowned ancient clochains or beehive huts – which may be as much as 2,000 years old. Explore the peninsula today with a local hiking guide who will take you on a coastal route along Slea Head Drive, overlooking the eery Blasket Island. This region has some of the most stunning scenery in Ireland, take in panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean while seabirds glide gracefully overhead. Afterward, check in to your hotel and head out to explore Dingle town.

Day 8 - Monday 8th July - Dingle Sea Safari

The best way to discover the best of the Dingle Peninsula? By boat, of course! Spend the day with a charismatic wildlife expert boating around Slea Head and the Blasket Islands, an abandoned archipelago famous for rich literary heritage and unique cultural insight about life in Ireland’s westernmost fringes. Spot seabirds and marine wildlife such as whales, seals and porpoises and dolphins.

Day 9 - Tuesday 9th July - Adare & Afternoon Tea

Leaving the Kingdom of Kerry behind this morning, make your way into the neighbouring counties of Limerick and Clare. Your first stop this morning is into the buzzing village of Adare, where you can stretch your legs with a wander between its traditional thatched-roof cottages, local art galleries, and warming cafes. Afterward, we have arranged an afternoon tea at Dromoland Castle. You’ll enjoy the prettiest selection of treats: scrumptious finger sandwiches, warm scones with clotted cream and homemade jams, delicate pastries, their signature tea brack, and the sweetest confections. Continue on to the small village of Ballyvaughan where you will stay for the next two nights, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. There’s a great restaurant at your accommodation that we would recommend for dinner.

Day 10 - Wednesday 10th July - Hiking the Cliffs of Moher

This morning you will drive 30 minutes to the Cliffs of Moher, one of Ireland’s most impressive natural sites. You’ll meet a local hiking guide and together you will follow a coastal route along the cliffs, passing through a dramatic hinterland with inspiring views offshore to the Aran Islands. The area is teeming with wildlife and 20 different species of birds, including puffins, make this area their home. You’ll finish in the village of Doolin, famous for its traditional music scene. You will stop for a fish n’ chips lunch in a historic stone cottage before returning to Ballyvaughan. We recommend taking the scenic route via Black Head, a mesmerizing stretch of the Wild Atlantic Way. There will be plenty of opportunities to stop for photos en route.

Day 11 - Thursday 11th July - Galway & Connemara

After breakfast, you’ll drive one hour to Galway, a charming Medieval-era city with a thriving arts scene. You will have some free time to explore, do some shopping, or people watching at the city’s iconic Tigh Neachtain pub. From Galway, it is 1h30 further into Connemara, a Gaeltacht (Gaelic-speaking region) known for its windswept landscapes of mountains, beach, and bog. For the next two nights, you are staying in Delphi Lodge, built in the 1830s on the foot of Connaght’s highest mountains.

Day 12 - Friday 12th July - Fishing at Delphi Lodge

Fly fishermen have been coming to Delphi for centuries. Formerly it was the sporting playground of the Marquis of Sligo. It is now particularly noted for its excellent runs of Atlantic salmon. You’ll spend a delightful day fishing at Delphi Lodge. Head to the river with your fishing gear and hopefully you’ll be lucky enough to catch a bite! This evening, we recommend heading into the small town of Clifden to catch some live music and a bite to eat.
