Fully immerse yourself in the world of Harry Potter on a spellbinding journey through England and Scotland. You’ll visit iconic locations used during filming as well as places that inspired J.K Rowling. In London there’s an incredible walking tour of Leadenhall Market, the real-life Diagon Alley and a visit to Platform 9¾. Then the Cotswolds via Oxford, stopping at the Divinity School and Christ Church College before flying to Edinburgh to experience the magical city and visit some of the iconic locations that inspired J.K. Rowling. Travelling into the Scottish Highlands, you will visit numerous filming location before finally hopping aboard the Hogwart’s Express.

Day by Day

Day 1 - Welcome to London

On arrival in London, transfer to your centrally located hotel and take some time to relax ahead of your first evening in England. An unmissable destination for travellers, the capital city is an international melting pot that brims with culture, history, iconic landmarks and unforgettable Harry Potter experiences. Many scenes from the Harry Potter films were shot here, from the grand Victorian arches of Leadenhall Market to bustling Piccadilly Circus and, of course, the famous Platform 9¾ at King’s Cross.

With a well-known and well-deserved reputation for an eclectic and globally diverse food scene, your dinner this evening is sure to be a thoroughly enjoyable affair. Later, draw the curtains on the twinkling lights of the city to enjoy a good night’s sleep ahead of an exciting day of exploring tomorrow.

Day 2 - A Day of Wizardry in London

Begin your day by meeting a city expert who will guide you through London’s magical connections to the world of Harry Potter. Explore iconic filming locations such as Platform 9¾ at King’s Cross Station and the Leaky Cauldron’s real-world counterpart in Borough Market. Visit notable sites like the Millennium Bridge and the magical alleyways of Diagon Alley, immersing yourself in the enchantment of London’s wizarding world.

The evening is yours to enjoy, perhaps take in a show at one of the Westend Theatres.

Day 3 - Enchanting Escapades

Starting price based off Option 1

OPTION 1:

Start the day by meeting your dapper driver for a tour around London in a traditional Mini Cooper, don your house scarf and visit iconic filming locations as you tour through the streets, along roads only a mini can take!

Have the rest of the day to explore at your own pace, perhaps an afternoon tea, or a visit to one of the many art galleries, the choice is yours.

 

OPTION 2:

Today you’ll be whisked to the Harry Potter Warner Bros. Studio for a Private Tour. Enter the magical Wizarding World to explore authentic sets, costumes and props from all the Harry Potter films. Step aboard the Hogwarts Express, window shop down Diagon Alley and stop at Professor Sprouts greenhouse to pull out a potted Mandrake! After your extraordinary encounters, your private transfer will take you back to the hotel.

Day 4 - Oxford's Hidden Wonders

Today, leave the bustling metropolis of London behind in a private transfer to Oxford, enjoying a scenic journey through the English countryside. Day 5 - Explore the Cotswolds and Meet the Locals

Day 6 - Travel to Scotland

This morning your guide will take you to the airport for your flight to Edinburgh. Depending on your flight time, you might have the chance to stop off en route, or simply transfer to the airport.

Arriving in Edinburgh, you will have the rest of the day to relax and explore the city at your own pace.

Day 7 - A Magical Tour of the Capital City

After breakfast, meet your guide in the foyer of your hotel and head out to join a lively walking tour that celebrates all things Harry Potter. Wind your way through the streets that inspired JK Rowling’s famous books, testing your wizarding knowledge as you visit Tom Riddle’s grave and the real-life Diagon Alley.

OPTION 1:

Wander up the Royal Mile to the mighty ancient fortress which is Edinburgh Castle itself, which is a captivating journey through Scotland’s rich history and culture. Walk the ramparts atop castle rock and hear the tales of the One O’Clock gun and the stories of locals of times past. Throughout the day, the castle’s rich history, stunning architecture, and breathtaking views provide an unforgettable experience.

 

OPTION 2:

Enjoy afternoon tea in a 16th century building on the Royal Mile, taking in the rich history that surrounds you while you enjoy a delectable feast. Afterwards, you will have time to wander some of the independent shops that jostle for space on the characterful and colourful streets.


This evening you will have a private tour of Edinburgh’s dark underbelly, discovering hidden streets, eerie dwellings and listening to spooky tales of both fact and fiction.

Day 8 - Travel West, via Loch Lomond

Meet your guide this morning, who will host you for the next few days as you venture through the Scottish Highlands. Experience a magical journey from Edinburgh to Glencoe with captivating stops along the way.

OPTION 1:

Step back in time with a visit to Stirling Castle and learn about Scotland’s rich and turbulent history. As you approach the castle, its imposing silhouette dominates the skyline, perched high on a volcanic rock above the town of Stirling. The view from the castle is breathtaking, offering panoramic vistas of the surrounding countryside, including the River Forth and the distant Highlands. Your guide will provide fascinating insights into the lives of the Stuart monarchs who once resided here, including Mary, Queen of Scots.

OPTION 2:

Departing from Edinburgh, travel west to a classic car museum, a delightful experience that combines the magic of the movies with the allure of classic cars. Here you will see Ron Weasley’s Ford Anglia, which famously featured in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. The collection features several iconic vehicles from the Bond films, including the famous Aston Martin DB5, complete with its spy gadgets and weaponry. The museum hosts an array of memorabilia and artefacts related to other franchises, such as the DeLorean from Back to the Future. Harry Potter fans and car enthusiasts alike will be equally delighted.


Continue on towards Glencoe, passing through Rannoch Moor, one of Scotland’s most awe-inspiring and hauntingly beautiful landscapes. This region of the Highlands was used for numerous filming locations for several of the Harry Potter films. Take time to enjoy the vast vistas of this stunning landscape and imagine yourself transported to a magical world. As you look out across the small pools of water, known as lochans, you can easily imagine a dragon flying overhead.

This evening, settle into your luxurious accommodation and enjoy a night cap into front of a roaring fire.

Day 9 - All Aboard the Hogwarts Express

Ready your wands this morning as you step aboard the Jacobite Steam Train for a magical journey to the coast in the train that featured in the Harry Potter films. Puff your way through glorious mountain scenes and over the famous Glenfinnan Viaduct, hopefully with no flying cars though! On arrival at Mallaig you will be met by your guide and can enjoy making your way back to Fort William being able to stop where you wish.
