Day 1 - Friday 4^th July - Onwards to Birmingham!

On arrival at Heathrow a private transfer will meet you to take you to your centrally located Birmingham hotel, the Park Regis.

This afternoon why not visit the historic Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery? Explore the social history of this fascinating city and discover the imposing bronze statue of “Lucifer” by Jacob Epstein in the Round Room. Alternatively, you could head to the nearby Bullring and Grand Central, Birmingham’s iconic shopping mecca where you’ll find a vast array of shops, eateries and leisure activities.

Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery and the Bullring are a 15 minute taxi ride or a 30 minute walk from your hotel.

Day 2 - Saturday 5^th July - Bespoke Metal-Inspired Walking Tour

This morning your local expert guide will meet you in the lobby of your hotel to take you on a 2 hour walking tour with a focus on heavy metal and street art.

During the tour you will learn about Birmingham and its history  and look at how it grew to a huge industrial city. You will also consider the role of popular culture and heavy metal. Black Sabbath formed here, alongside other Birmingham legends: Led Zeppelin, ELO, Dexys Midnight Runners, UB40, The Move, Judas Priest — and later, Duran Duran.

Along the way you will visit the famous ‘Black Sabbath” seat and the Crown pub where Black Sabbath played their first ever gig. You will also explore Chinatown and some key pieces of street art including works by Gent 48, Flak, Zuke and Annatomix before ending at Gas Street Basin, the setting for the new Peaky Blinders Film.

Your guide could leave you here or will see you back to your hotel for you to getready for what will be a truly memorable gig, “Back to the Beginning” at Villa Park.
