Day by Day

Day 1 - Sunday 4th August - Welcome to London

On arrival in London, transfer to your centrally located hotel and take some time to relax ahead of your first evening in England. Day 2 - Monday 5th August - Exploring the Capital

After breakfast, head out to explore the city in a walking tour with your Blue Badge Guide. As red buses and black cabs trundle around corners, wind your way through the heart of the city, learning about its turbulent history that stretches back over 2000 years. Your guide will take you past some of London’s most famous landmarks, curating a tour to your interests in history and culture.

After lunch, enjoy a tour of Westminster Abbey and learn about the historical building that has hosted the coronations of 40 English and British monarchs. Following your visit to the abbey, head across Westminster Bridge to the London Aquarium. Here you can marvel at the plethora of sea creatures, from the shark tunnel, to the penguins, to the jellyfish, there is something for everyone to enjoy!

Return to the tranquillity of your hotel this evening to relax before dinner.

Day 3 - Tuesday 6th August - Tower History & Tasty Treats

After a hearty breakfast, depart for the historic Tower of London and learn more about it’s fascinating 950 years of history. Now home to the Crown Jewels, the Tower of London has been used for everything from an armoury and treasury, to an infamous prison and royal palace. You will embark on a self-guided tour of the tower, meeting the famous Ravens and Yeoman Warders.

After soaking up the history of the Tower of  London, walk across the famous Tower Bridge and enjoy the vistas of the city from the South Bank. Spend the afternoon in Borough Market, London’s premier food market, and sample a variety of international delicacies and maybe purchase a souvenir or two!

Return to your hotel and enjoy a quiet evening before dinner.

Day 4 - Wednesday 7th August - Buckingham Palace & Mini-Cooper Sightseeing

Watch the Changing of the Guard and take a tour of Buckingham Palace, delighting in the meticulously kept gardens, once cherished by her late Majesty the Queen. Enjoy a delicious gastro lunch at a cosy, characterful pub, sitting back and watching the city hustle and bustle beyond the window. Afterwards, enjoy a leisurely stroll through St. James’s Park and relax in the shade.

You will then embark on a Small Car, Big City Mini Cooper sightseeing trip of the city. Your guides will show you the sights and sounds of the city, all from the comfort of a restored classic car!

Day 5 - Thursday 8th August - London to Windsor

After breakfast, you will depart London and travel the short distance to Windsor.

From here you will enjoy a self-guided tour of Windsor before arriving to your accommodation.
