Day 1 - Monday 27th May - Welcome to Scotland
Your private guide will meet you at your hotel this morning and together head to beautiful Highland Perthshire. Step back into history as you explore the grand battlements and halls of Stirling Castle, which have seen years of turbulent history. This was the childhood home of Mary Queen of Scots and where Margaret Tudor fought for her family and their claim to the throne in the 1500s. You may also want to stop to take a scenic stroll to a thundering waterfall with a unique ‘folly’. Your guide will make the landscape come alive as you go, and ensure you arrive at your luxurious hotel with time to settle in and freshen up before dinner that evening.

Day 2 - Tuesday 28th May - Discover the Mountains and Glens
This morning you head out on a fun private Landrover safari with a kilted Ranger. Exploring private estate tracks to see what traditional gillies and estate managers drive every day. Keep your eyes open for the local wildlife, Red Deer, Mountain Hares and Eagles that are all to be found here. This afternoon continue your local explorations with your guide and perhaps finishing the day with some delectable chocolates at a local award-winning specialist.

Day 3 - Wednesday 29th May - Castles and the Cairngorms
After a hearty breakfast, it is time to commence your journey north to the Cairngorms National Park. Along the way, enjoy a tour of Blair Castle and grounds, and perhaps take a longer walk in the surrounding valleys if you want to explore more. Embrace the scenic drive, absorbing the breathtaking landscapes en route. If time allows and you’re eager for adventure, your guide can suggest a picturesque walk amidst the stunning countryside. Arrive into the highland city of Inverness this evening to settle into your accommodation.

Day 4 - Thursday 30th May - Highland History
Today visit Culloden Battlefield and its richly researched and engaging visitor centre. Learn about one of the most harrowing battles in Scottish history and walk across the rough moor where the Jacobites and the Government fought in 1746. Take the opportunity to visit Clava Cairns – a well-preserved Bronze Age cemetery complex of passage graves, ring cairns, kerb cairns and standing stones. This afternoon admire the unique style of architecture, as you visit Dunrobin Castle. Called ‘the jewel in the crown of the Highlands’, this elegant great house has been home to the line of the Sutherlands for over seven decades. Enjoy another tranquil evening being looked after at your hotel.

Day 5 - Friday 31st May - Loch Ness & Urquhart Castle
This morning step on board for a cruise of the dark waters of the infamous Loch Ness. Catch views of local wildlife; from golden eagles to the elusive monster! The ruins of Castle Urquhart, come into view as you travel further up the loch. This large castle has a rich and bloody past that dates back centuries. It was eventually destroyed by government troops so it could no longer be used as a stronghold by local clans. Once back on dry land your guide will drive you along the loch side road to explore the Castle and stop for lunch, before continuing south to the stunning valley of Glencoe.

Day 6 - Saturday 1st June - Explore Glencoe
Be immersed in the beauty that surrounds you today as your guide leads you through the stunning scenery of Glencoe. These dramatic mountains and ridges have featured as the backdrop in many films and once you are looking up at these summits it is easy to see why! Explore this famous valley, from the high peaks to the wide valleys, there are plenty of options to suit every level of energy and challenge. Discuss with your guide to find the best option for you. After your hike settle down with a celebratory beverage and listen to local legends and fascinating tales of the dark past of Glencoe told by a local storyteller.

Day 7 - Sunday 2nd June - The Isle of Lismore
Discover the west coast today as you stroll some of the best trails found on the isles. Travel to the fishing town of Oban to board a local ferry and head to the Isle of Lismore. There are various options of trails to follow a wonderful circuit of the island before stopping at a beautiful spot for lunch with a view. This afternoon, head back to the mainland, where there’s time to explore the town of Oban before returning to your hotel to enjoy the final evening of your Scottish travels.

Day 8 - Monday 3rd June - Depart
