Arriving into Ireland this morning, your private guide will meet you in the arrivals hall of the airport and after a few introductions you will begin your journey north. Arriving in Belfast this afternoon, check into your hotel and start your introduction to northern Ireland with a Black Cab Experience. Belfast has had a turbulent history and today you will find out all about it – Belfast was at the heart of The Troubles for over thirty years and you’ll see firsthand how this shaped the city and its residents. Many stories of this time are now depicted through the murals dotted throughout the city, which are now recognised as political art. Visit the peace walls and hear tales from your local guide – an expert who lived through it.

You may prefer to go light with your breakfast this morning as you join a couple of locals on a private Food Tour of Belfast. Start in the historic St George’s Market, meeting producers, and tasting yummy local products, before heading around Belfast to visit traditional bars, world-class shops and more, eating and drinking some of the best local food and drink along the way. Later this afternoon stop by the Northern Ireland War Memorial Museum in the Cathedral Quarter, a site that was bombed during the 1941 Blitz.

Ulster Museum & Botanic Gardens With something for everyone, from art lovers to Game of Thrones fans, the Ulster Museum houses collections from across Ireland and the globe – and it’s free! Belfast’s Botanic Gardens is a 28-acre public park on the grounds of the Ulster Museum. It includes the Victorian-era Palm House, containing many varieties of trees and palms.

Day 3 - Monday 1st July - Derry City Walls & History Tour

This morning, say farewell to Belfast as you embark on your next adventure! Derry City is the only remaining completely walled city in Ireland and one of the finest examples of Walled Cities in Europe. Built in the 17th century, the walls, approximately 1.5km in circumference, form a walkway around the inner city and provide a unique promenade with which to view the layout of the original town. Your private guide will incorporate the tragic events of Jan 30th 1972 when a peaceful protest turned violent leading to the killing of 14 unarmed men and boys along with the injury of many other in an event knows as Bloody Sunday into your guided experience today. Afterwards, you’ll hit the road again and head to your castle hotel, located on the shimmering shores of Lough Eske.

Day 5 - Wednesday 3rd July - Whiskey & Storytelling in Galway

This morning, your guide will take you further south to what is known as the capital of Ireland’s west, Galway! Known as the ‘town of the tribes’ the small centre of cobblestone streets and colourful store fronts is vibrant, fun and cosmopolitan. This evening join a local whiskey guide who will lead you around the streets of Galway into some of the oldest pubs to discover the finest Irish whiskey. Tasting the Uisce Beatha (water of life) will certainly leave you in the mood to go to your final stop to meet Galway’s famous storyteller in a cosy pub corner for an hour of tales and regaling. Day 6 - Thursday 4th July - The Aran Islands

It’s hard to resist the allure of one of the many islands that dot the Irish coastline and today you will take to the water and ferry to The Aran Islands. The history of these islands goes back millennia and today Gaelic is still the daily spoken language of the inhabitants. The Aran islands seem to defy their size by all they have to offer: breathtaking scenery, medieval castles, cliffs and prehistoric forts are all to be found on this little group of islands. Inis Mór, the largest of the three islands, is your destination today. You’ll explore all the sights before taking the ferry back the scenic way – under the Cliffs of Moher!
