Day 1 - Friday 30th May - London to the Cotswolds

Arrive at Heathrow and meet your private transfer to leave the bustling metropolis of London behind and head west into the Cotswolds – a region cherished for its pastoral charm, pretty villages, flower-rich limestone grassland and deep incised valleys.

Along the way, stop at Stonehenge, offering a mesmerising interlude blending ancient mystery with pastoral charm. As you approach the iconic monument, the sprawling Salisbury Plain unfolds, dotted with grazing sheep and lush greenery. The colossal stones, standing resolute for millennia, evoke a sense of awe and curiosity about the prehistoric ingenuity that erected them. Stroll around the stone circle with your expert local guide, immersing you in the site’s rich history and its celestial significance.

Journey onto Bath and settle into your luxury retreat nestled in the historic city for the evening.

Day 2 - Saturday 31st May - Exploring Bath's Skyline and the City

Start today with your local guide and a morning hike on the Bath Skyline. Offering a refreshing escape into nature, ascend through aromatic woodlands to open meadows, offering stunning views of Bath’s golden Georgian architecture and the rolling Cotswolds hills. After soaking in the scenery and visiting historical sites like the Iron Age fort at Little Solsbury Hill, meander alongside the serene Kennet and Avon Canal.

Upon return to the city, enjoy lunch at one of Bath’s charming cafes, savouring local delicacies before embarking on an afternoon walking tour of the city. Strolling through the historic streets, you admire the elegant architecture, visit the beautiful Abbey and finally arrive at the Roman Baths. Here, you explore the ancient thermal spas, marvelling at the remarkably preserved ruins and learning about the city’s rich history, all while the afternoon sun casts a golden glow over this timeless setting.

Day 3 - Sunday 1st June - Castle Combe and Lacock

Spending a day in Castle Combe is like stepping back in time. Begin your morning exploring this charming village, marvelling at its historic stone cottages and the medieval Market Cross. Take the opportunity to visit St. Andrew’s Church, where you can see one of the oldest working clocks in Britain, dating back to the 14th century. Afterward, hop on a bicycle and enjoy a leisurely cycle ride, meandering rural roads, soaking in the picturesque countryside views with rolling hills and verdant fields.

Later in the afternoon, make your way to Lacock, a nearby village steeped in history and charm. Visit Lacock Abbey, a stunning 13th-century building with beautiful cloisters and gardens. Wander through its atmospheric rooms, once home to William Henry Fox Talbot, a pioneer of photography. Finish your day with a relaxing stroll around the village, perhaps stopping for tea at one of the quaint local cafes.

Day 4 - Monday 2nd June - Cotswold Villages

Today you’ll be heading out with your guide and exploring the Cotswold villages. Wander through Stow-on-the-Wold’s charming market square, browse antique shops, and visit historic sites. In Bourton-on-the-Water, the “Venice of the Cotswolds,” admire picturesque stone bridges and the famous Model Village. Moreton-in-Marsh invites you to explore its historic High Street and savour a quintessential pub lunch, enjoying locally sourced dishes. Next up is Bibury, often described as the most beautiful village in England, meander along the tranquil River Coln and explore the iconic Arlington Row, its medieval cottages offering a perfect photo opportunity. Throughout the day take the opportunity to embark on short scenic hikes through rolling hills, lush meadows, and ancient woodlands, soaking in the breathtaking countryside views.

Day 5 - Tuesday 3rd June - City of Dreaming Spires

Spend a captivating day in Oxford with an expert guide leading you through the city’s illustrious history and architectural splendour. As you stroll through the cobblestone streets and within the hallowed grounds of the University of Oxford, your guide unveils the rich tapestry of academic life, sharing intriguing stories and lesser-known facts about the prestigious colleges, such as Christ Church and Magdalen College. Wander through awe-inspiring libraries, ancient chapels, and beautifully manicured quadrangles, each brimming with centuries of tradition and scholarly achievement. Later this afternoon, take a leisurely walk through the verdant countryside, fully immersing yourself in the bucolic charm and breathtaking beauty of this idyllic part of the UK.

Day 6 - Wednesday 4th June - Sudeley Castle and Daylesford Farm Delights

This morning, visit Sudeley Castle and take a serene stroll through its lush gardens, bursting with vibrant flowers and ancient yew hedges, as the sun casts a golden glow over the historic stone walls. Inside, the castle’s rich tapestry of history unfolds through beautifully preserved rooms and exhibits, offering glimpses into the lives of past monarchs and nobility.

Afterward, arrive in the picturesque village of Daylesford, set in the tranquil Cotswolds countryside and start your afternoon savouring a farm-to-table lunch, complemented by organic wines or fresh juices. Then, head to the Daylesford Cookery School for a hands-on course focused on local produce, where you’ll learn to prepare dishes using farm-fresh ingredients. Finish the day spending some time in the market garden, picking seasonal produce.
