Immerse yourself in its rich history as you wander through the beautifully preserved rooms and explore the magnificent gardens. Afterwards, take some time to wander around Kilkenny’s picturesque streets, lined with colourful buildings, quaint shops, and inviting cafes. Enjoy a leisurely lunch in one of the local eateries, sampling some of Kilkenny’s delicious cuisine. Learn about the turbulent years of the Williamite War and hear the haunting tale of the White Lady.

Before returning to your hotel, we stop at Midleton Distillery, makers of Jameson Whiskey. On your fully hosted tour through the original Midleton Distillery, you’ll learn about the hard-working people and field-to-glass processes responsible for the whiskeys that make up the seven iconic brands.

Your guide is also a historian who will bring the city to life with colourful tales of life in the city in times gone by.

Later this afternoon,  it’s off to one of the most iconic sights in Dublin, The Guinness Storehouse. Arthur Guinness must have known what a special product he had when he signed a 9,000-year lease in 1759, for the handsome sum of £45 a year. Little did he know his beer would become one of our most famous exports, known the world over.
Spend the afternoon at St James Gate, learn the history of Arthur and Guinness, test your skills at pouring the perfect pint and sit back and relax enjoying the views from the sky bar with a pint of the Black stuff after. A great way to end a day in Dublin.

Growing up on a farm in the middle of Ireland, I spent all of my spare time outdoors, no matter the weather. This love of the outdoors has stayed with me as I’ve ventured far from home, living and exploring in countries such as New Zealand, Costa Rica and Spain. It’s safe to say I am definitely a green grass and mountains type of person.

I spent most of my career working in hospitality, and I love meeting visitors and showing them around our beautiful country with our unique culture.

Kerry is the Kingdom, and rightly so. The scenery is breathtaking, and the traditional music and the local people bring me back time and time again.

I speak Spanish probably more often than I speak English! My partner and stepchildren are from Madrid and are living here in Ireland, so our household is mainly Spanish-speaking. (Spanglish is probably more accurate!)
