Day by Day

Day 1 - Monday 21st July - Arrive in Scotland

On arrival at Edinburgh airport, you will be met by a private driver who will transfer you to the luxurious Gleneagles. As you travel through the scenic landscapes of central Scotland, take in the rolling hills and picturesque countryside. Arriving at Gleneagles, you’ll be welcomed by its stunning surroundings and world-class facilities, ready to begin your stay in this iconic Scottish destination.

Day 2 - Tuesday 22nd July - A Day at Leisure

Today spend a summer’s day at Gleneagles enjoying the facilities on offer at your leisure. From countryside cycling and gentle walks to thrilling pursuits like falconry or archery. There is plenty on offer to fill your day. Or perhaps you feel like unwinding in the award-winning spa, taking a moment to rest and relax before your adventure ahead. However you choose to spend your day, there is plenty on offer to suit every taste.

Day 3 - Wednesday 23rd July - Exploring Gleneagles

For your second day of leisure, perhaps dive into the more active pursuits available at Gleneagles, that celebrates Scotland’s sporting heritage. Perhaps try your hand at clay pigeon shooting, fishing on the estate’s tranquil lochs, or even saddle up for a horseback ride across the grounds. Or maybe you’d prefer to take to the green for a round of golf at one of their 3 courses, once host to the Rhyder and Solheim Cups.

Day 4 - Thursday 24th July - Highland 4x4 Tour

This morning your expert guides will meet you at your accommodation. Head out on a private 4×4 safari with a kilted guide. An opportunity to get off the beaten path – enjoy exploring private estate tracks that are typically only used by traditional gillies. Rumble over remote, rugged terrain and keep an eye out for local wildlife such as red deer and golden eagles. After the adventure, relax in a cosy bothy, where a gourmet picnic awaits amidst the serene beauty of the Highlands – the perfect way to celebrate your Highland adventure. For the rest of the afternoon, enjoy some free time to relax, perhaps take a stroll in the hotel grounds or enjoy some time at the hotel’s spa facilities.

Day 5 - Friday 25th July - Blair Castle

This morning, visit Blair Castle with your guides, which has been home to the Atholl family for over seven centuries. Explore its rich history, which has seen both turbulent and peaceful times, with the castle expanding and adapting over 750 years. The family’s story unfolds in 30 rooms, set against a backdrop of fine 18th-century interiors and Scots Baronial architecture. Outside, the 18th-century gardens offer a nine-acre walled garden, a wooded grove, a gothic folly, a kirk ruin, and an extensive deer park.

This afternoon, head to Pitlochry for some free time to explore this quaint highland town before finishing your day with a private whisky tasting where you’ll be introduced to the fundamentals of this iconic spirit. Guided by an expert, you’ll learn to nose, taste, and appreciate the subtle differences between regional styles and cask finishes. This evening, head back to your hotel to enjoy your final night in Highland Perthshire.

Day 6 - Saturday 26th July - Transfer Day

After breakfast, your guides will meet you at your hotel and transfer you to your accommodation in Edinburgh. Upon arrival, say goodbye to your guides taking a moment to reflect on the memories you have made these past few day. For the rest of the day, enjoy a private walking tour of Edinburgh with an expert guide unveiling the winding cobbled streets of Edinburgh’s historic Old Town. Highlights include the Palace of Holyroodhouse and the mighty fortress of Edinburgh Castle at the top of the Royal Mile. From the castle ramparts, tales of the One O’Clock Gun and the city’s past come to life. The tour concludes at the castle, leaving time to explore its halls and exhibitions.
