Day 1 - Sunday 21^st September - Highland Perthshire

Enjoy a relaxed morning before checking out and bidding farewell to the rest of the group as they make their onward travel connections. Meet up with your guide and begin the journey towards the beautiful Highland Perthshire, home to some of the best walking in Scotland. Stop off at the Creag Meagaidh National Nature Reserve and enjoy a gentle stroll to break up the journey.

From here yo continue on, briefly entering The Cairngorms National Park, before you arrive into the charming town of Pitlochry, nestled in Highland Perthshire, providing an excellent base for some walking adventures. Upon arrival, spend some time exploring the quaint village or simply relax at the hotel.

Day 2 - Monday 22^nd September - Hiking in Highland Perthshire

Today, head out with your guide into the stunning scenery that encapsulate the area. There are a plethora of great walks for you to take on, ranging from short hikes to longer, more adventurous walks. Chat with your guide about what you wish to experience, but options include:

• Ben Vrackie – this 10km walk takes you high above the town of Pitlochry, providing magnificent views of the surrounding area. Taking roughly 5 hours, this walk takes in over 750 metres of ascent.
• Clunie Walk – at just shy of 12km, this is one of the longer options, taking you into forested hills across the river Tummel. This roughly 4 hour walk will take you up 450 metres, providing great views of the town.
• Loch Faskally & the Salmon Ladder – a short walk option of around 5km, this walk starts in the centre of town, and goes around Loch Faskally, including a walk across a metal suspension bridge.

Day 3 - Tuesday 23^rd September - Hiking in Highland Perthshire - Day 2

Another day of hiking in the beautiful scenery awaits today, with some more options available to you:

• Schiehallion – a 10km walk and a chance to tick off one of Scotland’s famous Munro’s, could be on the agenda today. Known as one of the easier to summit, this walk will take roughly 6 hours and take in 730 metres of ascent, it is a beautiful walk, especially on a clear dry day.
• Loch Rannoch Forest Walk – an easier long walk option, this 8km hike takes you along well maintained paths through woodland and past the remnants of the ancient Caledonia Forest. Taking about 2 hours, and a maximum ascent of 180m, you will be rewarded with great views of Loch Rannoch towards the end of this walk.
• Craigower Circuit – this 5km walk is a good alternative to Ben Vrackie, as a short hill walk to give you stunning views upon reaching the wooded summit. Taking approximately 2 hours this 240 metre ascent walk is a nice option for those looking for a more relaxed day

This evening your guide will bid their farewells as they depart, leaving you full of amazing memories from you time walking in Highland Perthshire.

Day 4 - Wednesday 24^th September - South to Edinburgh

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before it is time to depart. A private transfer will collect you from the hotel and transfer you seamlessly south towards Edinburgh. Sit back and relax as you pass through rolling hills on your way.

Your driver will drop you at your hotel, close to Edinburgh Airport, making the morning easier for you.
