Today you will board the train from London to Edinburgh, a scenic journey that showcases the beautiful British countryside. This morning immerse yourselves in the winding cobbled streets of historic Old Town Edinburgh as you enjoy a private walking tour with an expert local guide. Discover the highlights of this unique capital city from the Palace of Holyroodhouse all the way up the ‘Royal Mile’ to the mighty ancient fortress which is Edinburgh Castle itself. Walk the ramparts atop castle rock and hear the tales of the One O’Clock gun and the stories of locals of times past. Your guide will leave you here so that you can spend as much time in the castle as you wish.
You then have a free afternoon to continue explorations at your own pace, pick up souvenirs or relax as you prefer.

This morning head out with your guide to explore the dramatic landscape of the Quiraing on the northern peninsula of Skye. As you walk, admire the stark rock formations that rise from the rugged ground like the great ruined battlements of a long-forgotten war. Chat with your guide about the geology and history of the area, enjoying the incredible sweeping views of the islands, mountains and sun-clipped shores that stretch in every direction. This afternoon, visit Dunvegan Castle, a Hebridean fortress which has been home to the same family for over 800 years. Learn about the family ancestry and stroll around the formal gardens, perhaps pausing for a home bake and cup of tea, all the while admiring the stunning views.

Today you’ll leave Skye on a ferry and travel along the stunning Road to the Isles. This is frequently listed as one of the most beautiful drives in the world and it is easy to see why. Admire the silver sand beaches of Arisaig and the views into the distance of Skye and the small isles. Your guide will share the tales of the local area as you go, making the landscape come alive with characters and events from the past.
You may wish to stop at the historic the Glenfinnan Viaduct, which you may well recognise from the Harry Potter films. Hear the tales of the Glenfinnan Monument and see if you can spot the Jacobite Steam Train puffing its way over the graceful arches of the viaduct.
Take a stroll on the white sand beaches of Arisaig and soak in the views of the Small Isles before continuing your journey to Inverlochy Castle, your stunning hotel for the evening.

This morning you will be collected by a private transfer who will take you to the airport to catch your flight to Dublin.
Arriving in Dublin this afternoon, a private transfer will meet you at Dublin airport and take you to your 5-star hotel in the city centre. You are free to explore the city – Dublin is best explored on foot or using public transport such as the LUAS, our light rail system. Many of Dublin’s highlights are within walking distance and indeed you will discover it is in the act of wandering from one to another where you will soak up Dublin’s authentic atmosphere.

Head out this morning to enjoy a walking tour with a local private guide through this vibrant capital city, with its mix of 1,000 years of architecture from the mediaeval to Georgian to modern. See the Georgian-style Merrion Square, lush St. Stephen’s Green, and Fitzwilliam Square, as well as O’Connell Street, the site of the ‘1916 Uprising’ that led to Ireland’s independence in 1922. Your guide is also a historian who will bring the city to life with colourful tales of life in the city in times gone by. Later on, there is no better introduction to Ireland than with a tour of The Guinness Storehouse, followed by a pint or soft drink in their sky bar with commanding views over the capital city and beyond.

This morning, your local private guide will meet you in the lobby of your hotel and together you will head out west,to the Cliffs of Moher, one of Ireland’s most impressive natural sites. The area is teeming with wildlife and 20 different species of birds, including puffins, make this area their home. You’ll stop in the village of Doolin, famous for its traditional music scene, for a fish n’ chips lunch in a historic stone cottage before continuing on to what is known as the capital of Ireland’s West, Galway. Your hotel is centrally located in the city – the perfect location for dinner and a night cap in one of Galway’s traditional pubs.

Spend the day on the remote Aran Islands with a local guide Gabriel, a native goat farmer come tour guide who calls these islands home. You’ll visit Dun Aonghasa, an Iron Age Fort on the edge of a cliff offering a glimpse into an ancient and mystical world & The Seven Churches, two historical sites of importance before stopping for lunch. Visit the local seal colony before Gabriel takes you to his own goat farm for a cheese tasting and a demonstration of our cheese-making process. Have some fun interacting with the flock of goats before you pop over to visit the eastern side of the island to St. Enda’s sunken church and the old Cromwellian Castle. Stop at the monument dedicated to local fishermen who lost their lives at sea before returning to the harbour for your ferry to the mainland.
