Day by Day

Day 1 - Monday 25th August - Arrive in Dublin

This evening you will arrive in Ireland’s capital, Dublin. A private transfer will pick you up at arrivals and take you to your 4-star hotel in the city centre. As you are arriving in the evening, you have no experience booked, so you can get some rest after your flight before the adventure starts tomorrow! This evening, enjoy dinner at one of Dublin’s many award-winning restaurants before ending the night in a cosy pub.

Day 2 - Tuesday 26th August - Newgrange & Travelling West

This morning your private guide will pick you up at your hotel, and after some introductions, you will make your way for a tour of the Neolithic historical site, Brú na Bóinne. The World Heritage Site of Brú na Bóinne is Ireland’s richest archaeological landscape and is situated within a bend in the River Boyne. Brú na Bóinne is famous for the spectacular prehistoric passage tombs of Knowth, Newgrange and Dowth which were built circa 3200 BC. These ceremonial structures are among the most important Neolithic sites in the world and contain the largest collection of megalithic art in Western Europe. Continue West to your home for a few nights, Gregan’s Castle, an 18th-century manor house.

Day 3 - Wednesday 27th August - 4 x 4 Experience On Inis Mor

We hope the weather gods are on our side today as we head out to visit one of the remote islands that dot the Irish coastline. Inis Mor (Inishmore) is the largest of the three Aran Islands and our destination this morning. Explore the island with the aid of some off-road adventure vehicles as your local guides, Padraig and Aonghus bring you to all the off-the-beaten-track spots on the islands that only their 4×4 can reach. Learn of the Irish language spoken on the islands, the unique Irish culture and traditions of the local people, the flora and fauna that inhabit the islands and of course the filming site from the recent Banshees of Inisherin film!

Day 4 - Thursday 28th August - Falconry & Castles

This morning you’ll visit the Cliffs of Moher before the crowds arrive. Travelling further south, you’ll stop by the opulent Dromoland Castle, where you will get up close and personal with mesmerising falcons, hawks and owls on the castle grounds. Continue on to your delightful castle hotel where you can put your feet up and relax for the evening.

Day 5 - Friday 29th August - Killarney National Park - By Land & By Water

Leaving Tralee today we track south into county Kerry Stopping at Killarney National Park en route. Killarney National Park is the jewel in Kerry’s crown, here you will board a boat with Dux and his canine friend and cruise the tranquil lakes of Killarney with one of the most spectacular backdrops imaginable as you are overlooked by Ireland’s highest mountain peaks. Back on solid ground, you’ll take a tour of the historical Muckross House and Gardens, before browsing the local craft shops in lively Killarney town, and afterwards, it’s time to check in to your accommodation.

Day 6 - Saturday 30th August - The Ring of Kerry

After a leisurely breakfast this morning, the day ahead is fully dedicated to exploring The Ring of Kerry, a route which covers the perimeter of the Iveragh Peninsula’s stunning coastline, beaches, mountains, and hidden lakes. Spend the the day stopping along our favourite hidden-gem beaches, visiting the birthplace of Ireland’s most prominent rebel figure, and admiring the dramatic rapidly changing landscapes.

Day 7 - Sunday 31st August - Bantry Bay Rib Experience

Bantry Bay is an area of outstanding natural beauty. Head out into the bay today viewing this stunning part of the Wild Atlantic Way from the water. Explore the stunning seascape to learn about the different types of fishing industries in the Bay, the local seafood culture and a little maritime history of Bantry Bay. Watch out for wildlife and numerous birds that frequent the area, visit the lobster pots, and check the mussel lines before heading to an island for a delicious lunch and bottle of beer. Back on dry land, you have time to explore the quaint town of Bantry before heading back to your hotel.

Day 8 - Monday 1st September - Depart

This morning, it’s an early start as your guide will drop you back at Dublin Airport for your onward flight. We hope your time in Ireland has been memorable and we look forward to welcoming you to our shores once again.
