Day 4 - Thursday 21st August - Welcome to Scotland

This morning, a private transfer will collect you from your hotel and take to you the airport or train station to make your onward travel to Edinburgh. On arrival in Edinburgh, you will be met by a private driver who will transfer you to your city centre hotel. Depending on your arrival time you can choose to relax at the hotel or head out to start exploring this unique city.

This evening, step beneath the bustling streets of Edinburgh to explore a hidden world frozen in time. In the shadowy alleyways of The Real Mary King’s Close, follow in the footsteps of former residents on a private tour as you uncover the stories of those who lived, worked, and endured here centuries ago.

Day 5 - Friday 22nd August - Exploring Edinburgh

This morning immerse yourselves in the winding cobbled streets of historic Old Town Edinburgh as you enjoy a private walking tour with an expert local guide. Discover the highlights of this unique capital city from the Palace of Holyroodhouse all the way up the ‘Royal Mile’ to the mighty ancient fortress which is Edinburgh Castle itself. Your guide will leave you here so that you can spend as much time in the castle as you wish.

As dusk settles over the city, take your place in the best seats in the house for the 75th anniversary performance of The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo. As you head north, stop at a distillery where you can tuck into a delicious sharing platter of local delicacies before enjoying a private tour of this working distillery.

Guided by expert hosts, you’ll then delve into the rich history of Aqua Vitae—Scotland’s original spirit—while crafting your very own small-batch blend using botanicals, herbs, and tinctures foraged from the surrounding abbey gardens. Afterwards, rest your legs and embrace a sense of stillness with the soothing warmth of your own private sauna tucked away along the riverbank, for those that dare, a bracing dip in the cool river waters will set your whole body tingling. Day 8 - Monday 25th August - Diving into the Future and Past of Scotland

This morning, your guide will meet you at your hotel ready to set out for the day. Leave the Cairngorms behind as you head north up and over the snow roads. Visit a local croft, which has won awards for their unique organic regenerative farming. Take a private tour of their scenic, and oh-so-Scottish croft (they even have a peat bog), and hear how they aspire to live closer to the land and as locally as possible.

Feeling inspired, head on to Culloden Battlefield, the site of the last battle of the Jacobite rising in 1746. Here you will take a private tour of the battlefield with one of their guides learning about how this sight changed to course of Scottish history forever. A poignant end to your explorations of Scotland.

Upon arrival at your hotel in Inverness, your guide will depart taking a moment to reflect back on the many memories made together.
