Friday 27th June – Wednesday 2nd July 2025

Number of Travellers:  2
Duration: 6 Days / 5 Nights

Overview

Picturesque coastal towns and villages, green pastoral fields, soaring cliffs, wild barren landscapes, the crash of the ocean, the laugh of a local. Ireland is romantic, and authentic, a home away from home where both old and modern seem to cohabit seamlessly on a small island in the middle of the sea. Packed with history and tradition your days are spent exploring the island of Ireland’s famous and off-the-beaten-track sites of natural, cultural and political interest. A world-renowned food scene means your evenings are spent dining in style and with the promise of a pub just around the corner, music and laughter are never far away. Your trip to Ireland will surprise and delight you but the people of Ireland will stay with you, long after your journey has taken you home.

Day by Day

Day 1 - Friday 27th June - Killarney National Park

We begin our trip this morning, heading south to Kerry, an expanse of rugged, mountainous country that sweeps down to the world-famous Lakes of Killarney. Here, stretching across 10,000 hectares, lies Killarney National Park, with its unforgettable combination of mountains, lakes, woodland and waterfalls. Historic manor houses and abbeys make for an interesting visit, but Killarney is best explored via a private boat trip with a Kerryman skipper who has been sailing these lakes since he was a child with his family. Cruise the tranquil lakes with one of the most spectacular backdrops imaginable as you are overlooked by Ireland’s highest mountain peaks. We continue down to the quaint Kenmare town and Sheen Falls, our home for the next three nights.

Overnight: Kenmare | Sheen Falls Lodge
Room Type: x1 Suite
Meals Included: None

Day 2 - Saturday 28th June - Seaweed Forgaing the Ring of Kerry

Today, travel to the southern shores of the Iveragh peninsula, also known as The Ring of Kerry, and meet one of our favourite characters. A fisherman, foraging expert, storyteller and a true Irish gent, John, will take us on a wander along the shoreline learning about life on Ireland’s west coast, all the while regaling us with tales of characters from the region, from lonely monks to 18th century civil rights activists to mythical heroes. We stop at picturesque bays and harbours, and points of interest along the way before returning to our hotel this evening.

Overnight: Kenmare | Sheen Falls Lodge
Room Type: x1 Suite
Meals Included: Breakfast

Day 3 - Sunday 29th June - Boating along Bantry Bay

Bantry Bay in Co. Cork is an area of outstanding natural beauty. Head out into the bay today, viewing this stunning part of the Wild Atlantic Way from the water. Explore the stunning seascape to learn about the different types of fishing industries in the Bay, the local seafood culture and a little maritime history of Bantry Bay. Watch out for wildlife and numerous birds that frequent the area, visit the lobster pots, and check the mussel lines before heading to an island for a delicious lunch and a bottle of beer. Back on dry land, we have time to explore the quaint town of Bantry before heading back to our hotel.

Overnight: Kenmare | Sheen Falls Lodge
Room Type: x1 Suite
Meals Included: Breakfast

Day 4 - Monday 30th June - Local Characters & Local Cheeses

This morning, our journey takes us across rolling farmlands with stunning pastoral scenes. We stop at a working Buffalo dairy farm for an immersive tour and tasting, and get up close and personal with a herd of Irish Buffalo! Meet the herd, chat about all things agriculture with John, and finish with a spectacular tasting session of some fine Irish cheese made right there on the farm. Arriving in the small village of Cashel this afternoon, we visit the Rock of Cashel, one of the country’s most iconic collections of medieval buildings. Afterwards, we arrive at our luxury hotel and take our time to settle in, perhaps indulging in a spa treatment or taking a stroll around the peaceful grounds.

Overnight: Cashel | Cashel Palace Hotel
Room Type: x1 Main House: Rock View Deluxe Twin

Day 5 - Tuesday 1st July - Ireland's Fair City

This morning, we make our way to Ireland’s “Fair City”, Dublin! There is no better introduction to Dublin than a private walking tour with a local guide, so after a bite to eat, head out to see the best of the city. Your guide is also a historian who will share the stories, characters, and events that have shaped Dublin through the centuries. Our tour guide finishes at Trinity College, where we join a tour that takes us around the campus, discovering some of the secrets and famous pupils who graced its halls and quads before making our way to the Old Library for an audio tour of the Book of Kells with its new immersive digital experience.
