Day by Day

Day 1 - Sunday 29th June - Welcome to the West of Ireland

Arriving at Shannon Airport, collect your rental car and set off on a scenic drive south to the Kingdom of Kerry, nestled on the edge of the infamous Killarney National Park. After checking into your accommodations and taking a little time to relax, your afternoon is spent to explore the national park on your own. Take a stroll beneath ancient trees and along quiet, winding paths, check out the historic Ross Castle, where you can step back in time and learn about the legends and battles that echo through its stone walls, or enjoy some downtime in the town itself.

Day 2 - Monday 30th June - The Ring of Kerry

Into the southern part of the Ring of Kerry, the landscape becomes wilder and more rugged. At a secluded bay, join a forager, foodie expert, and true Irish gent for a seaweed discovery and tasting walk to uncover the Kerry coast’s edible gems. Together, discover how to sustainably harvest these sea plants, learning how they earned their reputation as a super-food. Enjoy a few nibbles of seaweed yourself, including the flavoursome variety, Duilleasc, which sustained the monks on Skellig Island, the rock pinnacles rising dramatically from the sea on the horizon, or Nori, the famous Sushi roll wrapping. Top your day off with a visit to the home of one of Ireland’s most famous revolutionary political figures before returning to your hotel this evening.

Day 3 - Tuesday 1st July - Furry Friends and Coastal Clare

Head north, crossing the River Shannon by ferry. You might be even as lucky as to take in some of the wildlife like seals and dolphins along the way. Your next stop is a local goat farm, where you’ll meet friendly goats and enjoy a guided tour of the farm. As you explore, you’ll learn about sustainable farming practices and the art of goat farming. After the tour, you’ll be treated to a delicious tasting of locally made goat cheeses, savoring the rich flavors crafted right on the farm. You’ll then make your way to the picturesque village of Doolin, where you can unwind, enjoy traditional Irish music in a cozy pub, and reflect on a day filled with nature, culture, and incredible tastes.

Day 4 - Wednesday 2nd July - The Burren National Park and Cliffs of Moher

This morning, you’ll head into the heart of the Burren, a magical landscape said to have inspired J.R.R. Tolkien’s Middle Earth. You’ll meet local author and producer Tony for a gentle family-friendly walk through this otherworldly limestone terrain, where colorful wildflowers bloom in spring and summer. Along the way, Tony will share stories about the unique plants, animals, and ancient history of the area—perfect for curious young explorers.

After your walk, enjoy a cozy lunch at a local tearoom, with the option to visit the nearby Burren Perfumery, Ireland’s oldest working perfumery, where only natural and organic ingredients are used.

In the quiet of the afternoon, make your way to the iconic Cliffs of Moher, part of the UNESCO Global Geopark. These dramatic cliffs rise 702 feet above the Atlantic and stretch for five miles, offering breathtaking views and plenty of photo opportunities. Stop into the visitor center to learn more about the region’s geology and wildlife, and don’t forget to snap a family selfie before continuing on to Doolin.

Day 5 - Thursday 3rd July - Birds of Prey, Castles and Birthday Celebrations

This morning, you’ll depart from the wild beauty of County Clare and journey north toward Ashford Castle, arriving around midday to begin a truly unforgettable experience. Upon arrival, you’ll have the chance to take part in a Hawk Walk—an extraordinary encounter where you’ll handle and fly magnificent birds of prey through the castle’s ancient woodlands, guided by expert falconers.

Afterward, relax and indulge in the elegant surroundings of the castle, in the late afternoon meet a local historian on site for a guided historical tour that brings to life centuries of rich heritage within its storied walls. This evening, you can toast to a special birthday celebration with a refined dining experience in the George V Dining Room, named after the British monarch who once dined there as a guest of the Guinness family—a regal ending to a magical day.

Day 6 - Friday 4th July - Return to Dublin

After enjoying a relaxing morning at Ashford Castle, it is time to leave the west coast and return to Dublin. Drop your bags to your accommodation and return your rental car before some lunch.

In the late afternoon to enjoy a walking tour with a local private guide through this vibrant capital city. Be immersed in the history, learn about the culture, and hear the stories – the hilarious and the horrifying – as well as meet some of the incredible characters that made Dublin the city it is today.

This evening, you’re on the doorstep of the heart of Dublin, venture out to explore infamous pubs located on every corner of our viking city.

Day 7 - Saturday 5th July - Depart
