Head out on an unforgettable journey through Scotland, as you drive yourself through stunning scenery and along amazing country roads. Take part in thrilling activities along the way as you get to experience once in a lifetime activities that will be sure to leave a lasting memory. Head off road in 4×4 Land Rovers tackling the best terrain Scotland has to offer, before venturing west towards Loch Ness and then onto the magical Isle Of Skye. Spend time exploring the Isle, before heading back to mainland to spend time exploring Glencoe and all it’s beauty at your own pace – you could even try and summit the highest mountain in the UK – Ben Nevis.

Day by Day

Day 1 - Tuesday 22nd July - Welcome to Scotland

On arrival at the airport you will collect your rental car and head straight out of the city. First stop on your Scottish adventure is the famous and imposing Stirling Castle. Standing tall above the city, this is a source of immense national pride due to it’s significance within the countries history. Take some time to explore this ancient fortress and enjoy the stunning views on offer.

From here, continue north towards your accommodation for the next few days and a chance to relax at your accommodation.

Day 2 - Wednesday 23rd July - Get Off-Road in a 4x4 Land Rover

Today, you will get the chance to try your hand at some serious off-road driving. Head out in a special Land Rover and tackle all kinds of terrain, from river crossings to uphill stretches, this exhilarating half-day experience is sure to quench your need for speed and driving. You’ll head out in two vehicles to ensure everyone gets a chance to be hands-on, all under the expert guidance of a qualified instructor to help you along the way.

The rest of the day is yours to play with. Head out for more local explorations, or simple spend some more time in the charming town of Pitlochry.

Day 3 - Thursday 24th July - Loch Ness and The Isle Of Skye

Today you head for one of Scotland’s most famous landmarks, Loch Ness. Arriving into Fort Augustus, you will meet your guide, who will accompany your for the next few days in Scotland. Here, board your private RIB and head out onto the waters of the loch at speed. Spend some time learning about the monster that calls the loch home, and marvel at the surrounding beauty.

Next up, travel in convoy, as you head for the stunning Isle of Skye. Wind your way through glens and past lochs, keeping eyes peeled for a sight of the famous bridge that links the island and its inhabitants to the mainland. Continue onto your accommodation in the south of the island and spend some time relaxing before the next days adventures.

Day 4 - Friday 25th July - Wild Loch Coruisk & The Black Cuillin Mountains

Feeling rested, head south with your guide, arriving in Elgol – a tiny hamlet scattered along the western cliffs of the Strathaird peninsula. From a small jetty, board the charming Bella Jane and sail over Loch Scavaig into the very heart of the Black Cuillin. As the lovely first mate provides some fascinating history about the surrounding islands, look for sleepy seals lounging on the warm rocks. Upon reaching the shore, leave the boat to explore Loch Coruisk, also known as the Cauldron of the Waters, a deep dark loch that stretches like a shadow below the impressive volcanic peaks. Choose to walk around the loch or climb the rugged mountain of Sgurr na Stri – which is considered by many to offer one of the wildest and most spectacular views in Scotland.

Day 5 - Saturday 26th July - Exploring the Misty Isle

Today is all about seeing what Skye has to offer. Head out with your guide for a day of explorations, spending some time exploring Portree, the island’s capital, being sure to pop down to the harbour where you will find a sea of activity.

From here, head out to a local island distillery for the chance to spend some time learning about the whisky that is crafted on the island. Look behind the scenes and get a chance to sample some drams as you undertake a tutored tasting. Following the tour, your guide will bid you farewell as they depart, leaving you the evening to explore at your own pace.

Day 6 - Sunday 27th July - Sea Kayak in Crystal Clear Waters

This morning, bid farewell to Skye, as you take the ferry from Armadale to Mallaig, and a return to the mainland. Here you will meet up with an experienced and qualified guide for the chance to head out in kayaks along the west coast, taking in breathtaking shore lines, white sand beaches, turquoise waters, and for the very lucky, maybe even some sea life.

Continue on along arguable one of the most beautiful roads in Scotland as you pass the stunning Loch Shiel, framed by both the Glenfinnan Monument & Glenfinnan viaduct. Take some time to stop and enjoy the views before moving into Glencoe and your accommodation for the next few days.

Day 7 - Monday 28th July - Exploring Glencoe

Today you have the freedom to explore Glencoe at your own pace. Take some time to explore the trails that lead your through some of Scotland’s most beautiful scenery. There are a plethora of walks to chose from ranging from low level hikes to more adventurous explorations.

Day 8 - Tuesday 29th July - Glencoe and the Surrounding Area

Today is all about more self guided explorations of the area. Take on one of the many walks in the area, and spend time exploring hidden trails as you leave the beaten path behind. Alternatively, head a little further north towards Ben Nevis, the tallest mountain in Scotland and the UK. You could choose to attempt a hike up the mountain, or simply take on one of the many walks in the glen that runs below.

Day 9 - Wednesday 30th July - Self Exploration of Edinburgh

Today, you travel south, back towards Edinburgh. Enjoy a gentle drive as you pass from rugged ridge lines into more gentle rolling hills. Once back on Edinburgh you will drop off your rental car, before a private transfer takes you to your city centre accommodation. You then have the rest of the day to explore Edinburgh, or find somewhere to share a drink and raise a glass to your time in Scotland.

Day 10 - Thursday 31st July - Depart

A private transfer will collect you from your accommodation and take you to the airport to make your onward connections. Waving farewell for now but taking with you special memories and wonderful stories of your explorations.
