Day 1 - Sunday 21^st April - Welcome to Scotland

On arrival into Edinburgh, you will be met by your main driver guide and will head out of the city to start your Highland adventure.  Depending on your time of arrival, there may be options to stop off to start exploring on your way west to your exclusive spa hotel that is set on it’s very own island.

Day 2 - Monday 22^nd April - Exploring the West Coast

Head north today to enjoy some hiking in the dramatic valley of Glencoe, where the mountains rise up straight from the valley floor and the impressive jagged peaks stretch into the distance.  There are so many options for hikes today and your guide will discuss all of them with you so you can make the most out of your day.  Whatever you decide, you will end the day at a local walkers tavern where you will meet a local storyteller who will regale you with tales of days gone by and bring the magic and mystery of this incredible valley to life.

Day 3 - Tuesday 23^rd April - The rolling hills of Highland Perthshire

It is time to leave the West Coast and head to your next destination – the rolling hills of Highland Perthshire.  There is time for one more relaxing spa treatment or swim if you want before you leave your secluded island!  After lunch, you will spend the afternoon learning the art of chocolate making from how to make a ganache to learning how to temper chocolate!  Take the delicious delicacies away with you to savour when you arrive at your hotel for the next couple of nights.

Day 4 - Wednesday 24^th April - Exploring Perthshire

After spending time on two feet, today you can set off on two wheels to explore the wonderful countryside and quiet roads of Perthshire.  With your knowledgeable and expert guide by your side, get off the beaten track and visit the lesser known places while enjoying the feeling of the wind in your hair and admiring the far stretching vistas as you get to the top of a hill climb.

After an exhilarating morning, the rest of the day is free to explore some of the local villages, perhaps indulge in some spa treatments or simply sit back and relax with a good book while watching the world go by.

Day 5 - Thursday 25^th April - To the Cairngorms National Park

The Cairngorms is home of 5 out of the 6 highest mountains in the UK and full of incredible wildlife, remote lochs and tales of legend and mystery.  Before you leave the Perthshire countryside, you could spend the morning exploring Blair Castle, which is home to the UK’s only private army, or perhaps wander around the immaculate gardens at Glamis Castle, where HRH Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother grew up as a child.  Later on, you will arrive at your luxurious accommodation in the heart of the Cairngorms – perhaps in time to join a tour of the hotel and it’s exceptional art work which includes a genuine Picasso!

Day 6 - Friday 26^th April - Spirit and Spice and All things nice

Head out this morning into the heart of the whisky hills to a remote dwelling which is home to a renowned foodie author and chef.  Spend the day mixing spices together and take your tastebuds on a flavour journey as the food melds with the local whisky and the fire crackles in the grate.  Hear the story of this incredible woman’s life as she raised children in this remote setting while writing her fabulous cook books which are infulenced by her time in the middle east.  Sitting back on the veranda without another soul in site and a dram in hand, you will truly feel like you have arrived in the Wilderness of Scotland.

Day 7 - Saturday 27^th April - Hiking in the Cairngorms

For your last day in the Highlands, you will set out into the hills for one final time.  Lace up your boots and spend the day with just the sound of the crunch of the earth beneath your feet and the birdsong in the air as you hike under towering Scot’s pine and alongside babbling brooks.  Your guide will discuss all options for today, from the high points of the famous Lochnagar mountain to the gentle walk around a local loch.

Enjoy one final meal tonight at the hotel and perhaps raise a wee glass to your Scottish adventure as you rest your head before the next part of your adventure tomorrow.

Day 8 - Sunday 28^th April - Onwards to your next adventure

Your guide will transfer you back to Edinburgh today in time for you to check in and freshen up before starting the next part of your adventure.  There will be time this morning for a final hike in the hills or perhaps head south and spend some time exploring Scone Palace or Stirling Castle before arriving in Edinburgh in the mid afternoon.
