Crossing the border into Scotland, explore the beautiful Inner Hebridean Islands of Mull and Iona. Enjoy a boat trip out to the Isle of Staffa and weave your way through the Treshnish Isles, spotting guillemots, razorbills, shags, oystercatchers and puffins. Visit the enchanting Isle of Iona (whose monastery was one of the most influential in the British Isles) before ribboning your way to Slye and enjoy hiking with an expert guide.

Day 1 - Friday 30th August - Arrive in the UK

On arrival in London, transfer to your centrally located hotel and take some time to relax ahead of your first evening in England. An unmissable destination for travellers, the capital city is an international melting pot that brims with culture, history and iconic landmarks. With a well-known and well-deserved reputation for an eclectic and globally diverse food scene, your dinner this evening is sure to be a thoroughly enjoyable affair. Later, draw the curtains on the twinkling lights of the city to enjoy a good night’s sleep ahead of an exciting day of exploring tomorrow.

Day 2 - Saturday 31st August - Exploring the Capital

After breakfast, head out to explore the city. As red buses and black cabs trundle around corners, wind your way through the heart of the city, learning about its turbulent history that stretches back over 2000 years. Take a tour of Buckingham Palace, delighting in the meticulously kept gardens, once cherished by her late Majesty the Queen. Enjoy a delicious gastro lunch at a cosy, characterful pub, sitting back and watching the city hustle and bustle beyond the window. Afterwards, perhaps take a relaxing walk through the deep greens of Hampstead Heath or thread your way through a vintage market full of hidden treasures – from velvet hats to crystal pendants. Return to the tranquillity of your hotel this evening to relax before dinner.

Day 3 - Sunday 1st September - Enjoy London

Start your day with a stroll along the iconic South Bank, where the Thames reflects the grandeur of landmarks like the London Eye and the Houses of Parliament. Feel the pulse of the city as you make your way to the vibrant Borough Market, where the aroma of freshly goods and artisanal vendors beckon you. Wander through the historic streets of Covent Garden, where street performers dazzle and quaint boutiques invite you to explore. For lunch, savour the exquisite flavours at a renowned restaurant, perhaps indulging in a traditional Sunday roast. As the day winds down, take a leisurely boat ride along the river, watching the cityscape shimmer in the golden hour light before returning to your hotel to wind down.

Day 4 - Monday 2nd September - Stonehenge and Bath

After breakfast, get the train to Bath this morning where you can pick up your hire car for your adventure. Your first stop is a visit to Stonehenge – one of the most famous prehistoric monuments in the world and the largest of its kind in Britain. Spend as much time as you want here, at the visitor centre and at the stones. This afternoon return, to Bath, an elegant city full of traditional heritage which has been a well-being destination since Roman times. You may like to head out and explore the city’s cobblestone streets, admiring the Georgian architecture before returning to your welcoming hotel and relaxing before dinner.

Day 5 - Tuesday 3rd September - Explore Bath

Today, enjoy exploring Bath. As the beautiful Georgian architecture presses honey-yellow against a blue sky, soak in the sights and sounds of the city. Take the opportunity to visit the incredible Roman Baths, dating back to 70AD.  Later, enjoy visiting the Victoria Arts Gallery, a tranquil and thought-provoking place beyond busy streets. It’s also worth visiting the Jane Austen Centre, which offers an insight into what life was like during Regency times and explores how living in Bath affected Austen and her writing. With many lovely restaurants to choose from, you’ll be spoilt for choice for dinner this evening.

Day 6 - Wednesday 4th September - Bath Abbey & Travel to the Cotswolds

After breakfast this morning, visit Bath Abbey – a striking building with a gothic interior, fan-vaulted ceilings, and amazing stained glass windows. Both a religious and spiritual haven, take some time to soak up the quiet peace of this beautiful building. Later, hop into your car and travel a short distance to the American Museum & Gardens that lies just outside the city. Explore the blooming gardens and the commanding Manor House, which features a fabulous collection of American decorative and folk art. Later this afternoon, arrive at your cosy hotel tucked in the green folds of the stunning Cotswold countryside.

Day 7 - Thursday 5th September - Blenheim Palace and Oxford

This morning, head out to visit the incredible Blenheim Palace. Built between 1705 and 1722, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is notable as the birthplace and ancestral home of Sir Winston Churchill. With ornate interiors – where every portrait, tapestry and furnishing has a story, enjoy soaking up the history before taking a stroll around the meticulously curated, expansive grounds. In the afternoon, venture into the charming city of Oxford, renowned for its prestigious university and timeless beauty. Tour of one of the ancient colleges, where ivy-clad walls and tranquil quads create an atmosphere of academic serenity. For lunch, find a quaint café among the cobbled streets, perhaps enjoying a traditional cream tea. Afterwards, indulge in a leisurely punt along the River Cherwell, gliding past lush greenery and picturesque scenery. Day 8 - Friday 6th September - Shakespeare's Origins and Travel to the Lakes

Visit Stratford-upon-Avon this morning, which is well known as the birthplace and burial ground of William Shakespeare. Enjoy a guided behind the scenes tour of the Royal Shakespeare Company, learning about those who have played a pivotal role in its unique and fascinating history. Afterwards, travel north to the Lake District National Park – a landscape of hanging valleys, rushing waterfalls, and impressive crags cloaked in volcanic rock. Settle into your lovely countryside hotel this afternoon, perhaps heading for a short walk before dinner.

Day 9 - Saturday 7th September - Visiting Grasmere and Dove Cottage

This morning head into Grasmere, undoubtedly one of the prettiest villages in the Lakes. Enjoy a visit to Dove Cottage, where William Wordsworth lived with his sister Dorothy from 1799 to 1808. Step back in time as you explore the tranquil rooms, still full of the late poet’s possessions. Afterwards, you might like to take in a circular walk, soaking up the stunning views that stretch across Rydal Water, Grasmere Lake and the steep surrounding fells. Arrive back in the village and spend some time strolling along the narrow streets, popping into artisan shops and perhaps picking up some famous Grasmere Gingerbread.

Day 10 - Sunday 8th September - Ullswater Cruise and Walk Glenridding

Today you’ll leave the Lake District and travel north to Scotland. On the way, stop to enjoy a boat cruise across Ullswater this morning, a beautiful lake carved out by a long-extinct glacier and flanked by fells rich in prehistoric remains. Relax on deck as you glide across the shimmering water, listening to the insightful crew’s commentary on the area’s fascinating history. Disembark at Howtown, a hamlet on the eastern shores, and enjoy a beautiful walk along the lakeshore back to Glenridding. This afternoon, cross the border into Scotland and head to the Dark Sky area of Dumfries and Galloway, where you can settle into your cosy accommodation. Later, join a local walking tour learning all about the history of this region.

Day 11 - Monday 9th September - Kilmartin Glen and to Oban

After a hearty breakfast, embark on a journey to Oban, stopping on the way at the historic Kilmartin Glen. Explore the standing stones and ancient burial cairns. Visit the Kilmartin Museum to delve into the area’s rich archaeological heritage. Continue towards the picturesque town of Oban, enjoying panoramic views of the rugged Scottish countryside along the way. Arriving on the salt-stung coast and settle into your hotel, taking some time to relax after the long drive. Enjoy a leisurely evening stroll along the waterfront before dinner at your hotel.

Day 12 - Tuesday 10th September - Travel to Mull and Iona

This morning, catch the ferry over the Sound of Mull to arrive in Craignure on the Isle of Mull. Travel to the island’s southern tip, board the passenger ferry and visit the evocative Isle of Iona. Discover its beautiful coastline scattered with rocky outcrops and hidden bays and its rich history that dates back to the Iron Age. Visit Iona Abbey, one of the best preserved medieval nunneries in Britain. Depending on the weather conditions, perhaps hike to the highest point on the island, Dun I, which offers views as far as Rhum, Eigg and Skye. Just below the summit, splash your face with water from a dark pool in a rocky cleft known as the Well of Eternal Youth. Travel back to Mull later today and relax in the cosy warmth of your hotel.

Day 13 - Wednesday 11th September - Visit Staffa

Today, enjoy a fantastic boat trip to the uninhabited Isle of Staffa to visit the iconic Fingal’s Cave, the incredible rock formation that travels across the sea to make up the steps of the Gaint’s Causeway in Ireland. Sail out to the Treshnish Isles, a beautiful Hebridean archipelago and a haven for critical wildlife. Watch an eclectic mix of seabirds take to the wing against a sea-blown sky, identifying shags, razorbills, black guillemots, fulmars and gannets, and keep an eye out for marine wildlife like minke whales and dolphins. Back on Mull, enjoy exploring the bright, colourful village of Tobermory before returning to your hotel this evening.

Day 14 - Thursday 12th September - Over the Sea to Skye

After a leisurely breakfast, head north to the Isle of Skye. Drive across the Ardnamurchan Peninsula to the fishing village of Mallaig, where you will board the ferry to sail over the sea to Skye. Once on the island ribbon your way through the glens to the quirky harbour town of Portree, your home for the next few nights. Spend time exploring the shops and galleries and walk the harbour watching the fishermen haul in their catch.

Day 15 - Friday 13th September - Exploring the Misty Isle

This morning head out with your guide to explore the dramatic landscape of the Quiraing on the northern peninsula of Skye. As you walk, admire the stark rock formations that rise from the rugged ground like the great ruined battlements of a long-forgotten war. Chat with your guide about the geology and history of the area, enjoying the incredible sweeping views of the islands, mountains and sun-clipped shores that stretch in every direction. This afternoon, visit Dunvegan Castle, a Hebridean fortress which has been home to the same family for over 800 years. Learn about the family ancestry and stroll around the formal gardens, perhaps pausing for a home bake and cup of tea, all the while admiring the stunning views.

Day 16 - Saturday 14th September - Wild Loch Coruisk

With your guide, spend the day exploring the secretive Loch Coruisk with your guide. From the tiny fishing village of Elgol you’ll take a boat trip to the heart of the Black Cuillin mountains which tower above the blue waters of the loch. Along the way, you can spot seals and perhaps dolphins in the coastal waters. The boat will drop you at the remote southern end of the loch and you can drink in the atmosphere of this stupendous place as you hike around the loch, or to the summit of the small but steep Sgurr na stri for some of the most incredible views in Scotland.

Day 17 - Sunday 15th September - Travel to Loch Lomond

Leave Skye this morning and journey back to the mainland and drive to Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park.  On the way, you might want to stop at Nevis Range to take the gondola up into the mountain range where you can enjoy a short walk and spectacular views. You might also like to visit Glencoe Center and see the newly fished turf house. Arriving late afternoon, check into the renowned Cameron House, where you can relax and unwind in luxurious surroundings and a visit to the spa.

Day 18 - Monday 16th September - Fly to Dublin

After breakfast, drive to Glasgow this morning, drop off your car hire, and catch your flight to Dublin. Pick up your hire car and make the 2-hour drive up the coast to Belfast. Upon arrival, park up and head out to enjoy strolling through the lively streets adorned with colourful murals that tell the story of the city’s resilience and transformation. You may like to visit the RMS Titanic interactive Visitor Centre, an award-winning experience that brings alive the sights, sounds and smells of the fateful ship, as well as the city and people who created her. This evening, check in to your hotel and relax.

Day 19 - Tuesday 17th September - Mystical Mountains of Mourne

Today, enjoy exploring one of the most captivating corners of Northern Ireland – the sweeping, soaring peaks of the Mourne Mountains. Head out with your guide to hike, ride or ramble through this dramatic landscape, which served as inspiration for C.S. Lewis’s The Chronicles of Narnia. Home to some of the best walking and biking trails in the region, enjoy panoramic views that stretch beyond the granite tors all the way to the glittering ocean. The diverse habitat supports ravens, skylark, meadow pipit and peregrine falcons, while the Mourne Wall – which was finished in 1922 and took 18 years to complete – connects the desolate summits of 15 mountains and stretches for over 22 miles.

Day 20 - Wednesday 18th September - Causeway Coast

This morning, head out to explore the Causeway Coast and the Giant’s Causeway. Before the coastal road, meet with your guides for a half day of kayaking, giving you an opportunity to take in your surroundings from a completely new angle. After a spot of lunch, return to the road to admire castle ruins, dramatic cliffs, stunning beaches and picturesque harbours. Bright in the summer months with blue spring squill, pink thrift and white sea campion, stroll along the Causeway Coast’s cliff tops, watching seabirds swoop and dive above the swell. With the cliffs growing wilder with each step, the iconic Giant’s Causeway will soon come into view – the world-famous interlocking columns formed by volcanic eruptions 50-60 million years ago.

Day 21 - Thursday 19th September - Boat Trip to Rathlin Island

Today, enjoy a boat trip to Rathlin Island. Sail along the coast, discovering hidden coves, snaking inlets, and salt-stung cliffs. Soon, Rathlin Island will come into view. Intertwined with the legend of Robert the Bruce and the spider, it was here that the famous Scottish King rehashed his battle strategy before returning to Scotland. The only inhabited island off the Causeway Coast, Rathlin is home to an incredible number of seabirds. Venture ashore to visit the seabird centre and explore the unique ‘upside down’ lighthouse.

Day 22 - Friday 20th September - Exploring Derry & Glenveagh National Park

Spend the morning exploring the city of Derry – one of Europe’s few remaining walled cities. With a cosmopolitan vibe all year round, this compact, bustling place is perfect to explore on foot, home to brilliant museums, quirky cafes and independent shops. After lunch, travel east into the wilds of Donegal to go hiking in Glenveagh National Park. At its centre, the majestic Glenveagh Castle offers a striking symbol of 19th-century architecture, and a visit to its gothic orangery, Italian terrace and Tuscan garden is not to be missed. Beyond the manicured gardens of this romantic castellated mansion, many lovely walking trails wind through the landscape, offering the perfect escape into nature.

Day 23 - Saturday 21st September - Slieve League Cliffs

As the soft morning mist recedes across the fields, head out into the fresh air to explore the Slieve League Cliffs with your guide. Where the unrelenting power of the sea is a constant, rhythmic roar, these cliffs are some of the highest in Europe, rising dramatically above the crashing waves of the North Atlantic. Bunglass Viewpoint offers the perfect stop for a mindful moment, and there’s also a brilliant hiking trail that follows a little-known ancient pilgrimage path where the remains of a mass rock (an illicit church) still stand. After you walk, stop by Donegal town, where cosy, local pubs serve hearty food and good beer.

Day 24 - Sunday 22nd September - Travel to Dublin

From the wilds of Donegal, travel back to Dublin today, crossing the breadth of Ireland. A scenic drive, there are many places to stop and stretch your legs along the way. Later this afternoon, arrive in the city and drop off your hire car. Enjoy a leisurely stroll through the riverside Temple Bar neighbourhood, ribboning your way through its pretty streets and maybe stopping for lunch. You may wish to explore Dublin Castle or wander down Grafton Street to do some shopping. This evening, enjoy the vibrancy of the city by heading out for dinner at one of the nearby restaurants.

Day 25 - Monday 23rd September - Explore Dublin

Enjoy a day exploring Dublin. This morning, visit Trinity College and the fascinating Book of Kells exhibition to learn more about the city’s history. Then head to Phoenix Park, where you will pick up some bikes and a map and head out to explore the park on two wheels.  This evening, spend time in a lively pub to listen to some traditional Irish music, bringing your adventure to its perfect close.
