Perhaps engage in the festival’s street performances that catch your eye as you walk the Royal Mile. Enjoy lunch in the city before transferring north into the West Highlands. Pass through captivating landscapes which will become wilder and more dramatic. Have the chance to stop en route, for photo opportunities of the magnificent nature that surrounds you, before reaching your Castle retreat to rest for the evening.

Learn of the Highland tradition. Visit the Braemar Highland Games Field, the location of the largest Highland Games event in the world. Here the whole family can participate a mini games of your own. Have the chance to compete against one another, in some friendly competition. This day is designed for you, so even the youngest members of the family can be involved. After lunch, enjoy a private tour and tasting at the Royal Lochnagar Distillery, which was issued with a royal warrant by Queen Victoria in 1848. Learn about the history of Scotland’s most famous tipple while also having the chance to indulge in a tasting, for those who are old enough.
