Céad míle fáilte to Ireland’s West Coast. Arriving at Dublin Airport this morning, a private transfer meets us at arrivals and takes us south, to the Kingdom of Kerry. Arriving at Kerry Airport, we pick up our rental car and drive to our hotel in the late afternoon. Check in, relax and unwind before the chance to catch a trad session in Killarney town this evening.

Kerry is an expanse of rugged, mountainous country that sweeps down to the world-famous Lakes of Killarney. Here, stretching across 10,000 hectares, lies Killarney National Park, with its unforgettable combination of mountains, lakes, woodland and waterfalls. Hop on a private boat with a Kerryman skipper who has been sailing these lakes since he was a child with his family. Cruise the tranquil lakes with one of the most spectacular backdrops imaginable as you are overlooked by Ireland’s highest mountain peaks. After lunch, cycle through the scenic landscapes, accompanied by an expert guide. Enjoy the park’s beauty as you ride along quiet routes with views across glittering lakes and dramatic, wild scenery. Spot birdlife such as the spotted flycatcher, the dipper, and the kestrel, and keep an eye out for red deer grazing in the meadows.

Today we travel to the southern shores of the Iveragh peninsula, also known as The Ring of Kerry, a 179km circular route. To make the most of our experience along this scenic route, we dedicate most of our day to discovering the local culture and nature. This has the benefit of both breaking up the driving as well as introducing us to stunning vistas, extraordinary cultural spots, beautiful beaches and seaside towns. We stop at picturesque bays and harbours, and points of interest along the way before returning to our hotel this evening.

This morning, we drive to Dublin Airport to catch our flight to Scotland. Upon arriving in Scotland, we collect our hire car at the airport and travel to Gleneagles.
A private transfer will collect Ethan and Aiden from Edinburgh Airport for their journey to Gleneagles.
