Day by Day

Day 1 - Monday 7th July - Céad Míle Fáilte

Céad míle fáilte, or “one hundred thousand welcomes” to Ireland’s beautiful west coast! Pick up your rental car at Shannon Airport and make the 30-minute journey to Adare Manor. The rest of the day is yours to indulge in some relaxation at the spa, perhaps go for a swim, take afternoon tea like the lords and ladies or indulge in an afternoon cocktail. We recommend a carriage tour that meanders through some of the 840 acres of pristine parkland. Take in some sweeping views of the lush countryside, memorable points of interest and fascinating and engaging tales of Adare’s long history. You can also enjoy a curated whiskey tasting, including some of the hotel’s private casks.

This afternoon, take a private tour beneath the very street you have been walking along to see what it was like for residents of this place hundreds of years ago.  Meet some of the famous residents and even try your hand at creating your own medicine to help the residents with their ailments!

After a busy day, you can spend the rest of the afternoon picking up some Scottish Souvenirs for friends and family back home before having one last meal in the Scottish capital before departing to London tomorrow.

Day 8 - Monday 14th July - Exploring London

For your final day in the city you will enjoy something different.  Head to Soho where you will meet up with an expert foodie guide and take your tastebuds on a journey of sensations and discovery.  This tour will feature probably the best chocolate in London, traditional Bangladeshi cuisine and a proper British pud. Visit Brick Lane, Old Spitalfields Market and maybe even spot a BANKSY original as you wander along.

Sated and satisfied, you will then head to the Thames for a slightly different sightseeing adventure.  Hop aboard a high speed RIB trip and zoom down the Thames seeing the sites from a different angle.  Feel the wind in your hair and imagine that perhaps you are in James Bond as you race along.

To end the day, you will take to the skies on the London Eye where, armed with a glass of champagne, you will look out over the skyline and see the city stretching as far as the eye can see.  It’s truly amazing looking down on where you have been as the pod gently makes its rotation.

Back on the ground, you can enjoy some souvenier shopping before heading back to the hotel to get ready for your final night in the city.
