On arrival at Edinburgh Airport you will be met by a private driver who will transfer you to your city centre hotel. Depending on your arrival time you can choose to relax at the hotel or head out to start exploring this unique city.

Spend today exploring the unique city of Edinburgh with an expert local guide who will take you on a walking tour to visit some of the famous historic attractions. Wonder at the stories of the streets and discover the true character of the Old Town. Edinburgh is a labyrinth of cobbled alleyways contrasted with Georgian townhouses and more modern architecture and your private guide will give you a real personal insight into the history and character of this amazing city.

This morning your Private Guide (who will also act as your driver) will meet you at your hotel and together you will head north towards the Highlands. Taking a diversion via St Andrews to explore this historic university town before you continue North.
As you continue north there are many options for gentle strolls to take in the beautiful scenery, which your guide will bring to life for you as you travel. So maybe take a leg stretch to discover a special beauty spot, or save some time to explore the charming village of Braemar before settling into your unique Highland hotel.

Enjoy a full day hiking and exploring the mountains and rivers of beautiful Deeside area with your guide, who will tailor the day to your preference. Maybe explore the woodland trails and pyramids of the beautiful Balmoral Estate, the Highland residence of the Royal Family since it was bought for Queen Victoria in 1852. Or choose to hike up into the atmospheric crags and corries of Lochnagar mountain which Lord Byron immortalised in verse, including the line “I sigh for the valley of dark Lochnagar”.

Hike over the hills of Glenlivet to the private home and kitchen of a charismatic and well-travelled ‘food anthropologist’ who delights in sharing her findings and skills with others. Set in an idyllic and remote location you will discover a colourful and well-stocked kitchen with inspiring views over the hills. This house actually used to be a whisky smuggler’s den, so you are in the perfect place to enjoy a cookery workshop specifically designed to pair whisky and food on a unique flavour journey. Discover worldly flavours as well as some local and wild foraged produce.

With stunning views of Loch Ness and the surrounding mountains, you will enjoy an incredible cycling experience as you cycle part of the historic Great Glen Way, immersing yourself in the natural beauty of the area. To get another unique perspective you will then enjoy a thrilling private zodiac cruise on Loch Ness. Explore the deep and mysterious waters, perhaps catching a glimpse of the elusive Nessie while feeling the wind in your hair, an exhilarating experience!

Set out to explore the beautiful waters of the Sound of Arisaig in sea kayaks this morning, with a private instructor to help you make the most of the gorgeous location. Keep your eyes open for the local seal colony and the incredible turquoise colours which the sea creates as it gently laps around tiny islands and white sandy beaches. A truly special experience, this is sure to be a highlight of your trip.
On the way back towards your hotel your guide will share some of the local history which has shaped the local communities which live within this wonderful setting.

The dramatic mountains and ridges of Glencoe have featured as the backdrop in many films and once you are looking up at these summits it is easy to see why! Today you will explore this famous valley with your guide, there are plenty of hiking options to suit every level of energy and challenge. After your hike settle down with a celebratory beverage in a traditional climbers pub and listen to local legends and fascinating tales of the dark past of Glencoe told by a local storyteller. You will then continue south towards your luxurious resort hotel.

This morning learn the gentille art of falconry with an expert Falconer. This ‘sport of kings’ dates back thousands of years and will astound you with the beauty and accuracy displayed. Then amp up the adrenaline as you test your target skills clay pigeon shooting with the help of an experienced instructor. Use your final afternoon to unwind with a relaxing spa treatment, making the most of the top facilities on offer here. Maybe raise a glass to toast your Scottish adventures over dinner this evening.
