Overview

Explore some of Perthshire and Fife’s most famous locations. Both area’s known for their ties to golf and history, there is lots to see and explore, all at your own pace. Begin by exploring the home of golf and the starting place of one of the most famous royal love stories between William and Kate. Explore small islands off the coast of Fife, before heading inland to a luxury resort. Here get the chance to test your skills off-road, as you tackle all manor of terrain, before a guided walk lets you soak in the stunning surroundings at much more leisurely pace.

Day by Day

Day 1 - Welcome to Scotland

Upon arrival into Scotland, collect your bags and then head to collect your rental car. You’ll then head out of the city over the famous Forth Road Bridge, into the county of Fife. Your destination is St Andrews, perched on the east coast, overlooking the North Sea. Famous as the home of golf, this town also played host to the start of Prince William and Princess Kate’s royal love story, at the historic St Andrews university.

Day 2 - Exploring St Andrews

This morning join a local expert as you head out for a morning of private explorations. This is your chance to explore this historic town and all it is famous for, learning about golf course and it’s importance to the tourism in the town. Enjoy lunch at one of the many pubs in the town before spending some time exploring the coastline. Enjoy stunning views out to the North Sea, keeping your eyes peeled for wildlife. The afternoon is then yours to explore as you wish. There are lots of great locations within a short drive of the hotel for you to visit.

Day 3 - The Isle of May

This morning you will make the short drive south, before boarding a boat and heading out to explore the small Isle of May. Upon reaching the island head out and explore on foot, enjoying stunning views in every direction. Upon re-boarding the boat enjoy a tour around the island, keeping an eye out for the wildlife that calls this area home, before heading back to dry land.

Day 4 - Museums & The Crowning Palace of Scottish Kings

Today you bid farewell to St Andrews and the coast as you head for your next destination. Enjoy a short drive north to the city of Dundee, where a visit to the V&A museum is an undiscovered highlight. Entry is free but donations are always welcome to allow them to continue the amazing work they do.

From here, carry on for what was once the crowning place of Scottish Kings, Scone Palace. Enjoy a guided private tour around the Palace, learning about the history of this location.

Day 5 - Off-Road Driving in the Perthshire Countryside

Enjoy a leisurely morning at the hotel, before heading out on a thrilling off road driving experience. Under the guidance of an expert instructor, you will head off in a Land Rover Defender 110 to tackle some specially designed course. You’ll navigate water, ditches, uphill ascents and managing steep gradients as this experience tests your skills to the max!

Day 6 - Explore on Foot

Meet your local guide this morning and head out for stunning walk in the local area. There are a couple of options to choose from offering different levels of challenge:

  • Take on the Cairn Walk offering a somewhat challenging uphill stroll on well maintained paths, seeing a variety of flora and fauna, before being rewarded with beautiful picturesque views. This walk will take approx 3hrs.
  • Alternatively, take on an easier walk in the way of Drovers Road Walk, giving you stunning views of the Gleneagles estate. Learn the history of the area and look back at what it may have been like in the past. This walk will take approx 2hrs.

Day 7 - Departure

This morning you head for Edinburgh to return your rental car and make you onwards connections, bidding farewell to Scotland and the amazing memories you have created.
