Day by Day

Day 1 - Arrival - Collect Rental Car

Welcome to Scotland. Upon arrival collect your rental car and begin your journey through some of Scotland’s most iconic landscapes. You will drive north out of the city over the impressive Forth Road Bridge. There lots of good options for a stop on route, including Scone palace near Perth, before you continue on for Pitlochry and your accommodation for the next few nights.

Day 2 - Off Road Explorations and Crafted Chocolate

Today head out on a local 4×4 safari into the hills of Highland Perthshire. Explore off the beaten track with a private guided excursion, keeping your eyes peeled for some of Scotland’s famous wildlife. If you are lucky you might see red deer, mountain hare, and even the majestic eagle.

Round off the day with a visit to a local specialist chocolatier, taking the chance to sample some of the goodies on offer.

Day 3 - Into the Cairngorms

It’s time to head North into Scotland’s biggest National Park, The Cairngorms. Enjoy a scenic drive as you pass rugged ridge lines and famous distilleries on your way through the park. Stop off in the charming town of Aviemore for a spot of lunch. Then it is onto the home of the world famous Walkers Shortbread and the village of Aberlour and your accommodation for the next few nights.

Day 4 - A Famous Scottish Distillery

No visit is complete without a visit to one of Scotlands many distilleries. Whisky has a large part to play in Scotland’s story, so take some time to enjoy a tour around one of the facilities that creates this iconic drink. Enjoy a chance to sample some of creations and hear stories of the criminal past associated with the drink.

Please note the laws around alcohol consumption and driving in Scotland and plan accordingly. Speak to your hotel concierge about arranging taxi transportation if required.

Day 5 - Royal Homes In The Scottish Highlands

Today is all about the scenery on a truly stunning drive. You will join up with the highland tourist route near the small village of Tomintoul. You will continue on into the heart of the National Park, towards Royal Deeside, home to the British Royal families summer residence, Balmoral Castle. Arrive into the village of Braemar and your five star accommodation.

Day 6 - The Best of Natural Scotland

Enjoy a day out with an expert local who has extensive knowledge of the area and a whole host of activities for you to choose from. You could opt for any of the following:

  • Foraging
  • Kid focused activities
