Day by Day
Day 1 - Sunday 30th June - Welcome to Edinburgh
Arrive in Edinburgh and meet your private transfer drivers who will take you to your city centre accommodation. This afternoon, meet up with a local city guide who used to be homeless and hear about how they got back on their feet and the hidden gems of Edinburgh that only they know about.

Day 2 - Monday 1st July - Exploring Edinburgh
This morning you will head up to the Scottish Genealogy Society to meet an expert researcher. Enjoy a happy hour or two delving into the research which they have prepared on your family history for you, maybe discovering new facets to your ancestors characters or branches to your family tree.
This afternoon, you can enjoy some free time as a family or perhaps enjoy a private tour of the Royal Yacht Britannia or of the catacombs of the Royal Mile.

Day 3 - Tuesday 2nd July - North to the Cairngorms
Leave the bright lights of Edinburgh behind this morning as you head north to the Cairngorms. On the way there are options to stop off at Bannockburn perhaps to meet with a local storyteller who can bring the landscape to life (especially for the kids!) or maybe an option for kayaking, gorge scrambling or canoeing for those who want more adventurous activities!
There would also be an opportunity to stop off at a food bank today in order to see first hand how the local communities are helping people in need during the cost of living crisis or perhaps spend the afternoon doing some volunteering with the John Muir Trust.

Day 4 - Wednesday 3rd July - Optional Activites in the Cairngorms
There are so many options for today depending on what everyone wants to do. There are some amazing golf courses within an hours drive should the keen golfers want to play a round. Perhaps the kids would like to visit the famous Cairngorm Reindeer in their artic tundra home or spend a morning biking through the ancient Caledonian pine forest. Other options include private whisky tours, axe throwing with a local woodsman, cookery workshop at the farmhouse or adventures north to see dolphins and seals play in the water or the adventure garden at Brodie Castle!

Day 5 - Thursday 4th July - To the Kingdom of Fife
Leave the mountains of the Cairngorms behind and head to the windswept coast of the Kingdom of Fife – the home of your ancestors. For the keen golfers, you can arrive at St Andrews in time for an afternoon tee time and the rest of the party can explore the city or perhaps enjoy crabbing or rockpool hunting on the beach!

Day 6 - Friday 5th July - Following in the footsteps of your ancestors
Spend the day exploring the past of your ancestors. Taking what you learnt with the expert genealogist visit Dysart to see where your forefathers lived and worked. There will also be options to stop off the explore some of the other pretty villages on the coast, perhaps enjoy a hike along the coastal path or explore some of the Outlander links that are abundant in this part of Scotland.

Day 7 - Saturday 6th July - Depart Edinburgh
A private transfer will pick you up from your hotel today and take you to Edinburgh airport in time for your onwards flights – taking with you a part of Scotland in your heart and a longing to return.
