Day 1 - Saturday 13th September - Arriving in Inverness

Arriving in Inverness by train, you’ll be warmly welcomed by your guide — your companion for the rest of your journey. As you travel south towards your accommodation on the shores of Loch Lochy, take time to get to know your guides, who will bring Scotland’s landscapes and stories to life along the way. The journey winds through the Great Glen, time and energy levels depending, pause for a hike around the shores of Loch Ness — a chance to stretch your legs amidst ancient woodlands and shimmering waters, soaking in the beauty of this legendary landscape.

Day 2 - Sunday 14th September - Hiking on the West Coast

This morning, discuss with your guides options for hiking for the day. One option is to take on the challenge of the highest mountain in the UK, starting from almost sea level all the way up to the 1345m summit. Keep your eyes open for rock climbers on the popular North facing cliffs, and if the weather is kind to you, then ‘The Ben’ will reward your efforts with sweeping views. No matter what, nothing affects the sense of achievement as you stand at the top of Scotland.

The final route is at the discretion of the guide depending on weather conditions.

Day 3 - Monday 15th September - The Future of Scotland

Today, recover your strength, as you immerse yourself in Scotland’s rewilding story with a private tour of a pioneering rewilding centre. Set amidst a rich tapestry of native woodlands, this remarkable landscape is at the heart of efforts to restore the Caledonian Forest and its precious biodiversity. Explore the vibrant habitats with your expert guide, learning about the flora, fauna, and conservation work that are shaping the future of this wild and beautiful corner of the Highlands.

Day 4 - Tuesday 16th September - Exploring the Scenic Route

Leaving the shores of Loch Lochy behind, journey north along one of Scotland’s most scenic routes. Winding through glens and along shimmering lochs, the road leads to Eilean Donan Castle — its picture-perfect silhouette standing where three sea lochs meet. Take your time here to appreciate the unique setting and learn about its unique history. Continue to the charming village of Plockton, where colourful cottages line the waterfront. Along the way, discuss with your guides about your hike for the day: from gentle coastal paths to more challenging routes there are plenty of options to suit your interests.

Day 5 - Wednesday 17th September - An Adventure Playground

This morning, discuss with your guides options for hiking today. Energy levels and weather depending, the west coast offers some of the finest trails in Scotland. From the gentle coastal paths around Rhue Lighthouse to the rugged heights of Stac Pollaidh, this landscape is a playground for activity, history and nature lovers. You might trace ancient stories along Knockan Crag, wander to the atmospheric Bone Caves, or take on the challenge of Cùl Mòr for sweeping views across this wild, untamed land.

Day 6 - Thursday 18th September - Moray Coast

Today, explore the Moray Coastline with a private boat tour offering an unforgettable journey through one of Scotland’s wildlife-rich regions. Keep watch for pods of bottlenose dolphins playing in the waves, seals basking on the rocks, and seabirds soaring overhead. Back on dry land, hike along sweeping sandy beaches and rugged coastal trails, breathing in the fresh salt air and taking in views across the Moray Firth.  Your guides will tailor the walk to suit your pace, sharing stories of the area’s natural wonders along the way.

Day 7 - Friday 19th September - Exploring the Speyside Way

Today is all about exploring whisky country. This morning, hear some of the local tales as you hike some of the old whisky smuggler trails or part of the Speyside Way Trail alongside the soft dark waters of the River Spey itself.  Then visit the UK’s only working cooperage, where oak casks are created or repaired using traditional methods. You will see the fruits of their labour in distillery warehouses all over Scotland, but here you can see the processes in action at incredible speed.  This afternoon take a tour of one of the classic whisky distilleries in the area and enjoy a dram before your guides take you back to your hotel.

Day 8 - Saturday 20th September - Depart
