Day by Day

Day 1 - Dublin to the Cliffs of Moher

Meet your group in lively Galway before transferring to the picturesque village of Doolin. Our first hike takes us from the village along the awe-inspiring Cliffs of Moher. The incredible vistas a break-taking views make for a unforgettable start to your adventure. As the sun sets over the Atlantic Ocean, immerse yourself in the tranquility of the cliffs. Conclude the day with a delightful dinner in our charming hotel in the heart of The Burren.

Day 2 - The Aran Islands

Today we immerse ourselves in the rich history and culture of the Aran Islands. We begin by meeting a local goat farmer, a guardian of traditional island life. Engage in conversations about the islands’ heritage, marked by ancient stone forts and a resilient Gaelic-speaking community. After gaining insights into the island’s culture, we embark on a scenic hike, discovering the rugged beauty that has inspired poets and artists throughout the centuries.

Day 3 - The Burren & On to Kerry

Discover the enchanting world of wildflowers in the Burren. We being our day with a hike through the limestone landscape, where we uncover the unique plant life that thrives in the ecosystem’s moon-like crags. Your guide will explain the ecological significance of the Burren’s diverse plant life, shedding light on the delicate balance between rare orchids and resilient alpine species. As you wander through this floral haven, absorb the cultural richness of the Burren, a region woven with ancient history and folklore before we head onwards to our next destination.

Day 4 - Slea Head

Immerse yourself in an extraordinary day exploring the Dingle Peninsula & Blasket Islands, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes and abundant wildlife. Begin with an exhilarating boat trip, where knowledgeable guides share insights into the diverse marine life that graces the surrounding waters.  Upon arriving at the Blasket Islands (weather dependent), delve into the rugged terrain, discovering the fascinating history of the deserted village—a poignant reminder of the island’s resilient former inhabitants. We conclude our day back in Dingle town where we will seek out a traditional music session in a lively local pub.

Day 5 - The Dingle Way

Today we embark on an adventure, hiking the Dingle Way across Mount Brandon to Brandon Village. Ascend through the rugged terrain, relishing panoramic views of the Dingle Peninsula and the Atlantic Ocean. At the summit, soak in the rich history and folklore surrounding Mount Brandon, a place steeped in ancient myths. Descend through lush slopes, reaching the miles of empty sand beaches that characterise the northern shore of the peninsula. Some of Kerry’s finest cuisine awaits for a final night celebration of our adventure.

Walk Details: 20 km / 12 miles | 650 m / 2,133 ft elevation gain

Day 6 - Departure

This morning the group transfers to Tralee where there are regular trains back to Dublin. Alternatively you can transfer to Shannon Airport where you will be dropped off around lunchtime.
