Day 1 - Saturday 2nd November - Welcome to Scotland

On arrival at Edinburgh airport you will be met by your private guides who will also be your drivers and you’ll head off to the heart of the largest national park in the UK.

Depending on the time of arrival, there may be time to stop off for a private tour of the childhood home of the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother where you will be greeted by the sound of bagpipes floating on the breeze and can follow in the footsteps of Royalty as you explore parts of the castle not usually on show to the public.

Your accommodation is in the quiet village of Braemar and once you’ve settled in, you will meet up in Bertie’s Bar for a private tutored whisky tasting of some of their incredible collection.  A great way to start your time in Scotland.

Overnight: Braemar | The Fife Arms
Room Type: Scottish Culture Rooms
Meals Included: Lunch

Day 2 - Sunday 3rd November - Wild Swimming and Sauna

A refreshing start to the day awaits you today as you head deep into the woods to meet up with a local expert who will teach you the art of swimming in the cool, clear waters that run down from the mountains.  Feel your skin tingle as you take the plunge and steady your breath as you let the river take you on a glide under the canopy of trees with the sound of the birds chattering above you.

Back on dry land, warm up in the sauna and then replenish your energy with an amazing picnic next to the fire in the heart of the woods.  Sitting here, with a wee dram warming you from the inside, you will be regaled by the sound of some gaelic music before heading back to your hotel.

Overnight: Braemar | The Fife Arms
Room Type: Scottish Culture Rooms
Meals Included: Breakfast and Lunch

Day 3 - Monday 4th November - Mini Highland Games

Pitch yourselves against each other today as you head to the Royal Games Ground for an exhilarating morning.  Follow a piper to the venue where you will meet the local heavy athletes.  Watch as they compete in some of the famous events such as caber tossing, weight over bar and the hammer throw before taking part yourselves!  See who can throw the highest before splitting into teams for a final tug-o-war to determine which is the best team!

This afternoon, you will head back to the hotel to indulge in some spa treatments to sooth your tired muscles before enjoying a private dinner and some ceilidh dancing in a private room.  The perfect end to your time in the Highlands.

Overnight: Braemar | The Fife Arms

Day 4 - Tuesday 5th November - To Edinburgh

It is time to leave the jagged peaks and shimmering lochs today and head back towards the bright lights of the city.  However, one last experience awaits before you leave the countryside.  Lace up your hiking boots and head into the Perthshire hills to a remote bothy where an incredible meal awaits.  Meet the owners of the estate and enjoy a wee dram with an epic view before taking a tour of the house that has been in this family for generations.

You’ll arrive in Edinburgh in the late afternoon and can relax at your hotel after a wonderful day.

This afternoon, you will enjoy some free time to do some souvenir shopping or perhaps taking a tour of the Malt Whisky Society before heading back to your hotel for the evening.

Day 6 - Thursday 7th November - The Foodie side of Fife

Back in Edinburgh in the early evening, freshen up and then you’ll head out for one final tour.  Discover the hidden secrets of the South Vaults – some of the most haunted vaults in Scotland – where stories of witchcraft and murder are to be found at every turn.  Will you be brave enough to step inside the notorious stone circle?
